Q uick and easy birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5" of Crushed Curry ombre design from Color Theory Designer Series Paper stack
- scrap of pumpkins on light yellow/peach background design from Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper from which to cut out a single pumpkin
- 3 points cut from a gold Foil Snowflakes
Place the Old Olive rectangle into the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle to the front of the Old Olive card.
Cut a 6" piece of Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the strip of Crushed Curry Color Theory Designer Series Paper so it is about 1/4" up from the bottom. Flip the designer paper over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the designer paper. Adhere the strip to the front of the card in the center.
Ink up the Stylized Birthday stamp with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square.
Pick out the straight sided square framelit from the Layering Squares Framelits that cuts out a straight sided square that is 2-3/8" wide. Place the stamped sentiment square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the straight sided square framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Crushed Curry Marker to outline the sides of the square.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the square to the card front.
Tip: I centered mine, but it might look better if it was slightly to the left of center.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips to carefully cut out three points from a gold Foil Snowflake. Save the rest of the snowflake to use on a future project.
Put a little bit of SNAIL on the back of the bottom of the snowflake points and adhere the snowflake points to the card front so that the bottom is tucked under the sentiment square and the points stick out to the right and they are just above the ribbon.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips to cut out a single pumpkin from the piece of Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the pumpkin cut out to the bottom right corner of the sentiment square.
Cut a 3" piece of Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Tie it to the ribbon on the card front using a half knot so it is on the left side of the sentiment square. Trim the ends.
