Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" of mushrooms. leaves, and butterflies on white background design from Rings Of Love 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the mushrooms are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" of mushrooms. leaves, and butterflies on white background design from Rings Of Love 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the mushrooms are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 1" x 2" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 1/8" x 2-1/2" of copper foil sheet from Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock
Put the Crushed Curry rectangle into the Gingham Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the 1-1/2" x 4" strip of Rings Of Love Designer Paper to the vertical, dry embossed Crushed Curry rectangle so the left and right sides are even and it is about 1" from the top edge.
Adhere the dry embossed Crushed Curry rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
Mount the ducks image from the Stylish Sketches Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the bottom of the white strip so it is about 1" from the bottom.
Adhere the 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" strip of Rings Of Love Designer Paper to the bottom of the duck stamped white rectangle so the top of the designer paper is just below the bottom of the stamped image.
Pick out the straight-edged top tag die that cuts out a 3-7/8" long tag from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. Put it on top of the stamped and layered white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the stamped ducks are centered side to side and there is about 7/8" of designer paper at the bottom of the tag. Run through the machine several times to make sure you cut through the double layer of cardstock/designer paper.
Place the duck stamped tag on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends to color in the male duck's head.
Use the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the ducks' bills and feet.
Use the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to color in some of the area around the male duck's wing.
Use the Light and Dark Soft Suede and Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the ducks.
Use the Dark Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends fine tip to color in some grass.
Use the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color in the ground between the bottom of the ducks and the top of the designer paper.
Cut a 4" piece of the Evening Evergreen 3/8" Windowpane Check Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on each end.
Cut a 9" piece of the white twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.
Feed one end of the ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag. Pull the ribbon through so it is even. Tie the piece of twine around the ribbon just above the top of the tag using a small bow to hold the ribbon in place. Trim the ends of the twine.
Adhere the tag with ribbon attached to the front of the card at a slight angle so the top of the tag is pretty much even with the top of the designer paper strip.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the ends of the thin copper foil strip at sharp angles so the strip is about 2-1/4" long.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the thin copper foil strip to the front of the card so it covers the seam between the cardstock and designer paper at the bottom of the tag. The ends should stick out on either side a small amount.
As you are ready to stamp using the Charming Sentiments Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount one of the smaller sentiments of choice from the Charming Sentiments Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Poppy Parade rectangle.
Pick out the matching die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the upper right side of the tag a shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 small copper dots from the sheet of Brushed Metallic Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card in a line just to the left of the sentiment cut out on the tag as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large copper dot from the sheet of Brushed Metallic Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered over the foil strip on the right side of the tag as shown.
