P retty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/8" square from Garden Green Cardstock
- 3" square of green newsprint on white background design from Dashing Along Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 4-3/4" strip of brocade red pattern design from Dashing Along Designer Series Paper
Mount the "Peace" sentiment from the Stylish Christmas Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the white rectangle.
Mount the large swirls image from the Stylish Christmas Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle so the one swirl is pointing down and is just to the left of the stamped word "peace."
Adhere the thin strip of red Dashing Along Designer Series Paper to the left side of the stamped white rectangle so it is about 1/4" in from the top, bottom, and left edges.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle with designer paper attached to the Cherry Cobbler rectangle and then to the front of the Garden Green card.
Mount the poinsettia image on Block D. Leave the stamp rubber side up in front of you. Roll a Sponge Brayer across the open Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, roll the inky brayer onto the rubber side of the poinsettia stamp until it is completely covered in ink. Get more ink on the brayer as needed. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it in the center of the newsprint Dashing Along Designer Paper square.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Brayers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Put the poinsettia stamped designer paper square on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Mount the leaves image from the Stylish Christmas Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the newsprint square of the designer paper so the leaves appear to be coming out from the top of the poinsettia image on the left side. The leaves will go off the sides of the square. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again so the leaves are coming out from the bottom of the poinsettia on the right side. The leaves will go off the sides of the square.
Adhere the stamped newsprint designer paper square to the Garden Green square then to the front of the card so it overlaps the right side of the designer paper strip a bit and is about 3/4" from the top of the card and about 1/2" from the right side of the card.
Carefully peel up a small gem from a sheet of Gold Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the poinsettia flower.
