I
made this Still Night bundle card during September 24th 2018 Facebook Live.
Measurements for this card:
Night of Navy card base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded in half, Smoky Slate front 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", Night of Navy cs 4" x 4", So Saffron cs 3" x 3", Smoky Slate scrap pieces to stamp the Owl and sentiment and cut out a branch.
Project Recipe
Cut the cardstock to the Measurements above and gather the Smoky Slate scrape pieces.
Punch out the moon and stars from the 4" by 4" Night of Navy piece with the Twinkle Builder punch. To line up the image start from the bottom – place the punch about an inch in from the left side to punch the image....then you will flip over the cardstock and the image will be in the right place to put the Owl over the moon.
Use adhesive layer the So Saffron 3" by 3" piece behind the now punched and flipped 4"by 4" Night of Navy cardstock.
Use adhesive layer the punched Night of Navy/ So Saffron piece onto the top Night of Navy card base.
Add shine with the Clear Wink of Stella pen to the So Saffron Moon and Stars that show through the Night of Navy piece for added sparkle.
Run the 5 3/8" by 4 1/8" Smoky Slate cardstock piece through your Big Shot with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Cut out a circle with the 2 3/4" circle (second largest) of the Layering Circle framelits into the embossed Smoky Slate cardstock with your Big Shot. Make sure that your circle cut out lines up with your moon and stars as this is where they will show through (the center of the circle is about 2" and about 7/8" down from the top).
Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the embossed Smoky Slate piece. Be sure to add dimensionals around the circle to pop it up.
Layer the embossed Smoky Slate piece onto the Night of Navy card base.
Use a scrap piece of Smoky Slate cardstock cut out a branch piece with the Night Owl thinlit dies and your Big Shot.
Glue the branch to the front of the card. Try to line up the base of the branch with an embossed tree and so it overlaps in front of your cut out moon and stars.
Stamp the owl image from the Still Night stamp set in Early Espresso ink on another scrap piece of Smoky Slate cardstock. Stamp the sentiment 'Wishing you all the best' from the First Frost stamp set in Early Espresso on another scrap piece of Smoky Slate.
Cut both stamped images out with the label and owl thinlits from the Night Owl thinlits dies with your Big Shot.
Color the owl image using the Stampin' Blends and then add some Clear Wink of Stella to the owl's breast and eyes for sparkle.
Adhere the owl with a Stampin' Dimensional at its head and SNAIL or glue on his lower body to the front of the card. Try to perch the owl's claws on the branch with his head and body overlapping the moon and stars.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals on the sentiment and adhere it to the bottom right of the card. Add 3 Frosted Epoxy Droplets to complete the card.
Remember to add the 5" x 3 7/8" piece of Smoky Slate to the inside of your card so you can write your personal message. Optional - before adding the inside cardstock stamp and color an Owl image at the bottom right side of the Smoky Slate piece to extend the theme.
