I created this card for last week's Sketch Challenge.
Project Recipe
Start out with 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Evening Evergreen cardstock scored at 4-1/4". This is your card base.
Using the Inspired Canopy Dies cut out one of the middle trees in 4" x 2" Soft Suede.
With the leaves die, cut out one smaller and one larger group of leaves with Old Olive cardstock. Do the same with Garden Green cardstock.
Using your pick tool, and on the backside of the leaves poke some of the leaves so they stand out.
I created a stencil using the curved die. I've used the stencil for flowers and hills, so you can tell it's been used. :-) Using a blending brush and starting where you want the first hill, apply old olive to Basic White cardstock 5-1/2" x 2" using the stencil. Move the stencil down and repeat this using Garden Green and Mossy Meadow.
At the top I used the cloud die from the Majestic Mountains dies to make a cloud stencil. Holding it in place I used Blending Brushes to color the sky with Pacific Point and Seaside Spray.
Next I adhered the tree to the white cs, then the leaves. I used a similar technique on another project, but I cut all the leaves out with Garden Green cardstock. then I hand cut some old olive and stuck it behind the green leaves here and there to give it more depth.
I used the Delightful Tag Topper Punch on the top, and I used the Everyday Label punch for the greeting that I stamped in Evening Evergreen. I then used a Blending Brush and some Old Olive to color around the edges.
Last, I used 2021-2023 In-Color Jewels to spruce it up.
Ta-Da!
I hope you liked my card and thanks for inquiring.
