Project Recipe
Hello Crafty Friends! Welcome to The Joy of Stamps Challenge #2! Our letter for this round is S. I chose two stamp sets, Sheltering Tree and Sprinkles of Life. I just loved the little apples on the tree.
Measurements:
Lemon Lime cardstock-
* 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
* 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 for Scallop Circle
* 3 x 3 for Largest Square
Real Red cardstock:
* 4 x 5 1/4 for layer
* 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 for largest scallop square
* 1 3/8 x 5 1/8 for strip on side of card
* 2 x 2 for red scallop circle
Shimmery White cardstock :
* 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 for largest stitched square
* Scraps for basket and apples
Color Theory Designer Series Paper
* 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 for layered background
I stamped the image of the tree in crumb cake ink and then used the leaves stamp in pear pizzazz ink, I slightly offset the leaves and stamped again with lemon lime twist ink. I stamped the ground in lemon lime twist.
I used the cherry from Sprinkles of Life to stamp on strips of whisper white cardstock. Color the apples with the real red marker. I punched out each apple with tree builder punch. I used the fine glue tip pen to add a clear layer of glue on each apple then set aside to dry.
I stamped the basket in crumb cake on a piece of shimmery white cs and then cut out.
I added the apples onto the tree and into the basket.
I cut out all the layering pieces with the different sized die frames. Attaching them all together and layering onto card base.
I added a piece of lemon lime twist woven ribbon to the skinny real red cs on the right hand side of the card. A mini bow was added towards the bottom.
To make the little cut out of Thanks a bunch, I cut out with the words towards the right side with the classic label punch. I then cut a little flag at the end of the words.
I did sponge lemon lime twist around the edges of the color theory DSP.
I want to thank all of you who have joined us in this past challenge. Please join us for Challenge # 2! The winner will be our next challenges Guest Design Team Member.
