A fun Halloween themed thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" square from Terracotta Tile Cardstock
- 3-3/4" square from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Terracotta Tile Cardstock
- 2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Love You To Pieces Set or Spooktacular Bash Set on an appropriately sized block. Ink up the stamp with the Terracotta Tile Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the Crushed Curry square leaving some room below and to the right.
Pick out the large square of puzzle pieces die from the Puzzle Pieces Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is in the lower right corner with a little room on the right and below. Run through the tool. Do NOT remove the pieces from the die!
With the pieces in the die, put some SNAIL on the back of the pieces. Then, press everything to the center of the large Terracotta Tile square to adhere. If any pieces do fall free, simply put them back into the puzzle where they belong.
Adhere the matted puzzle pieces square to the front of the Crushed Curry card on the right side so there is about 1/4" above and below the square and about 3/8" on the right side.
Mount the framed mummy image from the Spooktacular Bash Set on Block B. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small vanilla square.
Pick out the matching square die with pointy corners from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped framed mummy image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
One at a time, squeeze the lids of the ink pads to get ink in the lids. If needed, add ink to the lids using Ink Refills. One at a time, use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lids and color in the framed mummy image. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Remember to scribble on Grid Paper in between colors until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Use the following colors:
Crushed Curry – for mummy's eyes and frame
Terracotta Tile - for canvas behind mummy
Pick out the square filigree frame die from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put the die on top of the Terracotta Tile square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the colored framed mummy cut out to the center of the Terracotta Tile filigree frame.
Adhere the matted framed mummy image to the front of the card so it is centered over the left edge of the matted puzzle square and about 1/2" from the top.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Basic Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle so it is on the lower right corner of the matted framed mummy image cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a black dot from a sheet of Monster Bash Enamel Shapes being sure to get the adhesive as well. Adhere it to the upper right corner of the matted puzzle pieces.
