Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Glimmer Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" of dictionary entries on tan background design from Monster Bash Designer Series Paper, cut so the words are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 1-3/4" x 4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Terracotta Tile Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Gold Glimmer Paper
Fold a Coffin Treat Box base and lid along all score lines using the Bone Folder.
Use pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the box together. Set aside.
Use pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the lid together.
Place the piece of Monster Bash Designer Paper upside down on your work surface (in this case, the dictionary entries design face down).
Place the lid upside down in the middle of the piece of designer paper. Trace around the outside edges using a pencil.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the traced area just inside the pencil lines.
Use SNAIL Adhesive to adhere the cut out paper right side up (in this case, the dictionary entries design face up) to the top of the lid. Use Paper Snips to trim off any excess designer paper along the edges.
Unlock the Twinkle Builder Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the strip of Gold Glimmer Paper into the punch and get it positioned so you will punch out the crescent moon. Punch.
Use Mini Glue Dots or small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the moon punch out to the the top of the coffin lid on the left side with the open side of the crescent on the right.
Pick out the branch die from the Seasonal Layers Dies. Put the die on top of the Basic Black rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so you get the top of the branch. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the branch cut out to the top of the box lid so the top tips almost touch the top on the right side and it overlaps the moon punch out a bit. Trim off any excess branch on the lower left side using Paper Snips if needed.
Mount the "Open if you dare" framed sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Terracotta Tile rectangle.
Pick out the matching small square die with pointy corners from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment label image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment label cut out to the top of the lid on the lower right side.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a skull and crossbones shape from a sheet of Monster Bash Enamel Shapes being sure to get the adhesive as well. Adhere it to the front of the lid at the top of the framed sentiment cut out.
Cut a 3" piece of Basic Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the lid at a slight angle on the bottom left corner of the framed sentiment cut out.
