F un Halloween treat box using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" of black spider webs on gray background design from Monster Bash Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Fold a Coffin Treat Box base and lid along all score lines using the Bone Folder.
Use pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the box together. Set aside.
Use pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the lid together.
Place the piece of Monster Bash Designer Paper upside down on your work surface (in this case, the spider webs design face down).
Place the lid upside down in the middle of the piece of designer paper. Trace around the outside edges using a pencil.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the traced area just inside the pencil lines.
Use SNAIL Adhesive to adhere the cut out paper right side up (in this case, the spider webs design face up) to the top of the lid. Use Paper Snips to trim off any excess designer paper along the edges.
Mount the "Creepy" sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Highland Heather strip.
Pick out the small stitched label die with rounded ends from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is more to the right. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment cut out to the top of the lid just below the top angles and so it almost touches the right side.
Mount the set of 3 filled jars image from the Spooktacular Bash Set on Block C. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla rectangle.
One at a time, squeeze the lids of the ink pads to get ink in the lids. If needed, add ink to the lids using Ink Refills. One at a time, use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lids and color in the spider in a jar image. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Remember to scribble on Grid Paper in between colors until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Use the following colors:
Crushed Curry – for spider's eyes
Gorgeous Grape - for spider's legs, head, and body
Cut out the colored spider in a jar image by hand using Paper Snips.
Tip: Save the other two jar images for use on a later project.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional from the Black Stampin' Dimensionals Combo Pack to adhere the cut out spider in a jar image to the top of the lid at slight angle so it overlaps the left end of the sentiment label.
Cut a 3" piece of Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the lid in the angle where the jar cut out and sentiment label cut out meet.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up 2 large and 1 small Basic Gray dots from a sheet of Monster Bash Enamel Shapes being sure to get the adhesives as well. Adhere them to the centers of some of the webs on the front of the lid.
