Project Recipe
Prepare these pieces:
Gorgeous Grape base - 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Fresh Freesia - 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
Basic White (2) - 4" x 5-1/4"
Glittered Organdy Ribbon - 18"
Fold and burnish card base. Place one piece of Basic White in embossing folder about halfway down. Place the correct top plate on top only up to the edge of the embossing folder. Run through embossing machine.
Turn Basic White piece around and emboss the bottom part, leaving enough space for the stamps you want to add. The black line on the SU embossing folders helps to line up your paper straight. Emboss the bottom half with the plate only up to the edge of the embossing folder.
Optional: Using the Simply Scored score board or your trimmer's embossing blade, emboss lines at the edge of your embossing to highlight the flat area. (I meant to do this and forgot!)
Stamp your greeting in the empty space. I used Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape. Glue the white layer to the Fresh Freesia layer.
Tie a bow around the layers with Glittered Organdy Ribbon. Hold in place with a glue dot. Add some Glossy Dots and glue onto card front.
Don't forget to decorate the inside and envelope! I used the Beautiful Balloons stamp set for this in Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape.
