Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 3-1/4" square from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Real Red Cardstock at least 1-3/4" wide
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1-3/4" wide
Mount the jumping snowman image from the Spirited Snowmen Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large white square. Set aside to let dry for a few minutes.
Mount the "winter cheer" sentiment from the Spirited Snowmen Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the scrap of white cardstock.
Unlock the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Place the punched out sentiment circle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Mount the grouping of snowflakes image from the Spirited Snowmen Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it all over the sentiment circle. Remember to re-ink the stamp with Pool Party Ink each time.
Unlock the 1-1/2" Circle Punch. Slide the Real Red scrap into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the stamped sentiment circle to the center of the Real Red circle.
Cut an 8" piece of Real Red 3/8" Mixed Satin Ribbon.
Thread one end of the ribbon through some of the layers on the grapevine wreath. Holding both ends of the ribbon together, tie a half knot in the ends. Trim the ends.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-3/4" diameter circle. Place the stamped snowman image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so it is centered over the snowflake image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the snowman circle cut out on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the Dark Pumpkin Pie Marker to color in the snowman's carrot nose.
Use the Dark Soft Suede Marker to color in the snowwoman's stick arms and legs.
Use the Light Real Red Marker to color in the right side of the snowman's hat band.
Use the Dark Real Red Marker to color in the rest of the snowman's hat band, the pompom and spots on the hat, the buttons, and some of the stripes on the scarf.
Use the Dark Pool Party Marker to color in the area around the dots on the hat, the skate boots, and the rest of the stripes on the scarf.
Use the Light Pool Party Marker to color in the left sides of the snowman's body balls and head.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a circle that is 2-15/16" diameter. Place the Real Red square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the colored snowman circle cut out to the center of the red circle cut out.
Put 6 to 8 squished up Mini Glue Dots around the edges of the white circle.
Press the grapevine wreath with the ribbon tied to the top to the matted snowman circle. Make sure the ribbon is at the top.
Put a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the lower left side of the wreath. Peel up the protective backing. Adhere the matted sentiment circle to the Tear & Tape.
