Project Recipe
For base card cut Bumble Bee cardstock 5.5 x 8.5
In landscape position score at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4"
Turn to portrait position and mark 2" up from left side on short side with pencil
Place in the cutter as shown and cut off the top left rectangle
Cut Flowers For Every Season 6x6 designer series paper 4" x 5 1/4"
In landscape position mark long edge at 1 3/4" from the left edge.
(don't draw a line this is here just for instruction - a small mark is all that is needed)
Once marked place on the paper cutter with the side you want showing and cut from the mark to the top left corner cutting away a triangle piece
The ruler in the photo shows how the cut will go.
Now take the angled piece of DSP and place it on cutter in portrait mode and cut 1 7/8" from long edge creating the long diagonal piece.
move to the left and cut off 1/4" from remaining piece which will leave a short diagonal piece 1 7/8" wide
discard the 1/4" piece. It is cut this way so that the angle will follow the lines of the card when attached. If you take the extra 1/4" off of one side or the other instead of the middle things will not line up right.
The picture here is a different color but the lines show how you will cut the piece to create the two diagonal panels for the card front
Cut Whisper White regular card stock
5 1/4" x 8 1/2 "
In portrait position mark 1 3/4" from right edge on short side of card stock
In landscape position mark at 4" from left edge at top of card
Cut diagonally from the 1 3/4" mark up to the 4" mark
In landscape position with the diagonal to the left cut one strip at 1 7/8",
move to left and cut off 1/4"
move to left and cut second strip at 1 7/8"
move to left and cut at 4" (there should be a 1/2" strip left over - you won't need this)
This will create the 3 white panels that you will stamp. You don't need to draw all the lines this is just done to show you where you will be cutting.
The stamps in this Special Someone stamp set have two parts - a detailed stamp and a fill in stamp.
Stamp the shortest diagonal piece with the little mouse using Smokey Slate ink pad. Stamp the detailed stamp with full strength ink then stamp off the fill in stamp before stamping it over the detailed image
Color the smallest flower with Garden Green marker for the stem and Bumble Bee marker for the flower and stamp as shown
Stamp butterflies with Misty Moonlight ink pad
On the medium panel stamp the squirrel detail with full strength Soft Suede ink and the fill in with Soft Suede stamped off once.
Color the larger flower with Mango Melody marker and stamp above the squirrel.
Use the Old Olive marker to draw the stem in so it looks like the squirrel is holding it.
Add butterflies with Misty Moonlight ink
On the 4 x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White stamp the Racoon detail full strength Momento Black and the fill with momento black stamped off once
Stamp the balloon string with momento black
Stamp the balloon detail full strength with Crushed Curry and the fill in stamped off once
Stamp the sentiment with Momento Black
Add some butterflies with Misty Moonlight
Attache the largest panel to the card first lining up the bottom and edges leaving a 1/8" edge
Attach the medium panel next lining up the bottom edge with the panel already attached
Add the shortest panel last in the same manner
