Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and foil sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- 3-7/8"x 5-1/8" of Blueberry Bushel pattern from Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines of flowers are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" of Old Olive Foil from Noble Peacock Foil Sheets
- 2-1/4" x 3" Whisper White Cardstock
Cut a 6" piece of Pretty Peacock 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
Place the Scalloped Linen Ribbon on some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect your work area.
Use the brush tip of the Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to carefully color in the center of the ribbon where it is brown from the left edge about 2-1/4" in and from the right edge about 1-1/2" in. Set the ribbon aside to dry.
Adhere the Blueberry Bushel piece of Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Paper to the Pretty Peacock rectangle.
Lay the altered Scalloped Linen Ribbon across the matted designer paper/cardstock rectangle so the bottom of the ribbon is about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Pretty Peacock rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Blueberry Bushel card.
Pick out the largest stitched label die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Put it on top of the Old Olive Foil Sheet rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Use strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the foil label cut out and adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon in the right corner.
Note: SNAIL Adhesive does NOT stick well to the Foil Sheets, so you'll get better adhesion if you use Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Carefully remove a magnet from the back of the Stamparatus. Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side. Put a piece of Small Grid Paper on the Stamparatus.
Place the white rectangle on the Stamparatus base so a long side is horizontal and the upper left corner is on the 1" line going down on the grid paper and on the 5-1/4" line going across the grid paper. Use the magnet in the lower right corner to hold the cardstock in place.
Pick out the "thank you" or "healing hugs" sentiment from the So Sentimental Set. Place it upside down on the white cardstock so it is centered. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Old Olive Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate and press down firmly. Open the plate. Clean the stamp off with the Simply Shammy.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have an Old Olive Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Move the white cardstock up and to the left about 1/16" to 1/8" inch. Hold the cardstock in place with the magnet in the lower right corner. Ink up the words "thank you" or "healing" ONLY on the stamp using the brush tip of the Blueberry Bushel Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Close the plate, and press firmly. Open the plate. Remove the cardstock. You should have the sentiment and a shadow image stamped on the cardstock. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Pick out the stitched label die with flat ends from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered inside the foil label cut out.
Cut an 8" piece of Blueberry Bushel 1/8" Mini Grosgrain Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon in a small bow. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot (squish it down a bit) to adhere the tiny bow to the front of the card at a slight angle in the lower right corner of the matted sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 small Blueberry Bushel rhinestones from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the rounded ends of the foil label cut out.
