P retty holiday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pretty Peacock Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4 pieces each 3/4" x 4" of silver foil snowflakes on white background design from Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-3/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 4-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the four strips of Feels Like Frost Designer Paper on top of the Pretty Peacock card front so they are mostly centered and overlap each other a tiny bit at angles. When happy with the placement, adhere them in place one at a time using SNAIL Adhesive.
As you are ready to stamp using the So Many Stars Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one short edge of the strip of white cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "Season's Greetings!" sentiment from the So Many Stars Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched white strip so the notch is on the right side and the sentiment is as close to the notch as possible.
If necessary, use Paper Snips to cut off the left edge of the sentiment banner so the whole banner is only 3-3/4" long.
Adhere the sentiment banner to the card front so it overlaps the bottom of the designer paper strips and the notches almost touch the right edge of the card.
Mount the large graphic star image from the So Many Stars Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the white square.
Pick out the open, stitched, star die that cuts out a star that is 3-1/4" wide from the Stitched Stars Dies. Put it on top of the stamped star image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the star is centered. Run through the tool. KEEP BOTH PIECES!
Tip: You may have to press fairly firmly along the edges of the die to pop the cut out loose.
Put Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the star cut out. Remove the protective backings.
Wrap the end of the Silver Metallic Thread around your fingers a few times. Cut the thread loose from the spool. Adhere the thread in loops to the Mini Dimensionals on the back of the star cut out.
Add more Mini Stampin' Dimensionals if needed and adhere the star cut out with thread attached to the front of the card at a slight angle so it is centered side to side over the designer paper strips with the top tip of the star just peeking over the tops of the strips and the bottom left tip of the star overlaps the top of the sentiment banner strip.
Mount the small graphic star image from the So Many Stars Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in one of the corners of the leftover white square from stamping and cutting out the big star.
Pick out the open, stitched, star die that cuts out a star that is 7/8" wide from the Stitched Stars Dies. Put it on top of the stamped star image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the star is centered. You will be cutting off some of the tips. Run through the tool.
Tip: You may have to press fairly firmly along the edges of the die to pop the cut out loose.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the small star cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom right side of the sentiment banner strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a small Rhinestone Basic Jewel from the sheet being sure to get the adhesive as well. Adhere it to the center of the small star cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a medium Rhinestone Basic Jewel from the sheet being sure to get the adhesive as well. Adhere it to the center of the large star cut out.
Cut a 3" piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it covers the left edge of the sentiment banner strip.
