P retty Christmas In July tag for a gift bag made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Ombre Specialty Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 2" square of lighter Night Of Navy paper from Ombre Specialty Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Snowflake Wishes Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the "Thank You Snow Much" sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vertical Balmy Blue rectangle about 1-3/4" from the top.
Pick out the rounded top tag die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies that cuts out a tag that is 1-13/16" wide. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die and is about 3/4" from the hole in the top of the tag. Run through the machine.
Mount the larger grouping of multiple small snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad and stamp it all over the tag filling in the blank spaces. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the sides of the tag.
Pick out the medium-sized, more detailed snowflake die from the So Many Snowflakes Dies. Put it on top of the Ombre Specialty Paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Keep all the pieces!
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the center of the snowflake cut out to adhere it to the bottom right side of the tag. The arms of the snowflake on the right should stick out over the right side of the tag a bit so make sure there is no adhesive on them.
Pick out the strip of four circles with small circles inside them die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. Put it on top of the scrap of Ombre Specialty Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you will cut out at least 2 circles. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the small circle cut outs to the top of the tag cut out on either side so they are centered over the hole in the top of the tag.
Fill a 3" x 9" Printed Gusseted Cellophane Bags with treats.
Cut a 15" piece of 1-1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon around the top of the cinched closed bag using a bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Cut a 6" piece of White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Stick the folded end of the ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag from the back side. Pull it through a bit. Stick the loose ends of the ribbon through the loop and pull it tight.
Tie the ribbon with tag attached around the top of the bag over the other ribbon using a knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small Night Of Navy gem from a sheet of Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the ombre paper snowflake cut out.
