P retty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products. This card could easily be a Christmas card by just changing the sentiment or leaving it off entirely.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 1" x 5-1/4" of green, red, black, and yellow plaid design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 1-3/4" of green, red, black, and yellow plaid design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Smitten Mitten stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Be sure to put a piece of scratch paper on top of the mat before putting down the cardstock to protect the mat from ink.
Mount the double horizontal lines of hearts image from the Smitten Mittens Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the large Garden Green rectangle so that the lines of hearts go off the right edge a bit.
Adhere the long strip of Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper to the left edge of the stamped green layer.
Pick out the open mitten framelit that cuts out a mitten with the thumb on the left from the Many Mittens Framelits. Place the Real Red rectangle on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the mitten framelit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the detailed mitten framelit from the Many Mittens Framelits. Place the smaller Garden Green rectangle on the Precision Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the detailed mitten framelit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Place the detailed mitten cut out upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters and clamp the triangle edge of one quarter in a large binder clip. Squeeze a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the detailed mitten cut out. Flip the detailed mitten cut out over and adhere it to the red mitten cut out.
Pick out the open mitten cuff rectangle framelit from the Many Mittens Framelits. Place the small rectangle of Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the open mitten cuff rectangle framelit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the mitten cuff cut out to the top of the layered mittens using SNAIL.
Without adhering, lay the mitten on the right side of the white rectangle about 1/4" in from the top and right sides.
Mount the "thank you" sentiment from the All Things Thanks Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom right side of the white rectangle so it is centered under the mitten.
Adhere the mitten in place using SNAIL.
Adhere the white rectangle to the Garden Green/designer paper layer so it is about 1/2" in from the top and right sides and overlaps the designer paper just a bit.
Cut a 6" piece of Gold 1/8" Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the Garden Green/designer paper/white layers so it covers the seam between the green and designer paper layers and overlaps the white layer by about 1/4". Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the layers. Adhere the layers to the front of the Real Red card.
Cut an 8" piece of Gold 1/8" Ribbon.
Tie a small bow and trim the ends.
Adhere the bow to the ribbon already on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot so that the bow is in the upper left corner of the white rectangle.
Adhere a 3/16" gold circle Metallic Enamel Shape to the center of the flower in the center of the mitten.
