T his small version of a Slim-Line card is 3 1/2" x 6" when finished.
Project Recipe
Cut all paper as follows:
~Crushed Curry Cardstock- 8 1/2" x 3 1/2", scored parallel to short edge at 2 1/2"
~DSP pattern 1 from Inked Botanicals-one of the Crushed Curry pieces for front flap- 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
~DSP pattern #2, I used a Crushed Curry pattern of stamped flowers for inside later that shows on the front- 3 1/4" x 5 3/4"
~DSP pattern #3-I used very vanilla background piece that had florals stamped around on it. This will be diecut, piece needs to be at least 2 1/2" x 4 1/8".
~Two scraps from DSP, one is from either Crushed Curry pattern being used and one from the Vanilla floral used. Each scrap will be punched, each should be at least 1 3/4" square.
~Very Vanilla- two of the same size will be diecut. Each should be at least 2" x 3 1/8".
~Use a bone folder and crease the card base on the scored line.
~Adhere DSP 1 to front flap keeping in mind the orientation of the card. My sample is vertical so I want to keep that in mind if I use a pattern that needs to go in one direction.
~Adhere DSP 2 to inside panel. Use adhesive of choice, either seal or multi-purpose liquid glue.
~Use the punches from the set, the Inked and Tiled Punch Pack. One is like an "X" and one is more like a star.
~Punch the star from the Crushed Curry dsp and the vanilla background floral for the X punch. Adhere the two together like sample. Add dimensionals to the back keeping them away from the top 1/4 portion to allow room for tucking the flap.
~Diecut a front focal point shape background from the DSP pattern #3. I used the Countryside Corners Dies, 2 1/2" x 4".
~Diecut from very vanilla, two of the same shapes as above only the next size smaller. I used 2" x 3 1/2". One will be for inside and one front.
~Stamp sentiment you want on one of the very vanilla shapes. I used Calypso Coral ink.
~Stamp the front focal point flower and sentiment. I stamped "Thank You" towards the bottom in Calypso Coral. Then I covered it up (masked it off) with a sticky note. Then I stamped the flower image.
~Glue floral image onto cut out shape that is a little larger.
~Put adhesive on the back of this but only on the top 1/3 portion. Adhere it to the top flap portion.
~Adhere the inner shape using the front as a guide. You don't want the inside shape to show when the card is closed.
~Use front flap to position the punched out shape that has dimentionals on back. It should have to bend slightly to tuck behind the lifted up shape. Again, make sure the dimensionals are not in the way.
~Final step is to embellish. Add some ribbon and or some rhinestones. You may want to put on some Wink of Stella?
~Don't forget to sign or initial the back. It is your work of art!
