Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of green stripes with occasional small green bumps on light green background design from Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 3-1/2" x 4" from Whisper White or Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Terracotta Tile Cardstock
--1-1/2" x 2" from Old Olive Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Paper Blooms Designer Paper to the front of the Old Olive card.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the large Old Olive rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed succulents background die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Old Olive (green) side is facing up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the large, detailed succulents background cut out and adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered over the designer paper rectangle.
Mount the large grouping of succulents image from the Simply Succulents Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Memento Pad and stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the matching, large grouping of succulents die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the stamped grouping of succulents on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Put the large grouping of succulents cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to color in the centers of the large succulents.
Use the Dark and Light Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends to color in the petals near the centers of the large succulents.
Use the Dark and Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the large succulents.
If desired, add highlights to the large succulents using the Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends.
Use the Light Mini Macaron and/or Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends to completely blend the colors on the large succulents.
Use the Dark and Light Old Olive and Dark and Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends to color in the smaller succulents hanging down.
Use the Light Gray Granite Stampin' Blends to color the edges of the cut out and any white spaces between the leaves of the succulents.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends if needed to remove excess color.
Mount the flower pot image from the Simply Succulents Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the Terracotta Tile rectangle.
Pick out the flower pot die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the stamped flower pot image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Put the flower pot cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to add some shading to the top and right sides of the flower pot cut out.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends if needed to remove excess color.
Mount the "thanks" sentiment from the Simply Succulents Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the remaining small Old Olive rectangle.
Pick out the small label die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Adhere the flower pot cut out to the front of the card so it is about 3/4" from the bottom and left edges.
Adhere the colored succulents cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the top of the flower pot cut out and is about 1/2" from the left edge and 3/4" from the top edge.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the right side of the flower pot a tiny bit and the bottom right side of the succulents cut out a bit.
Cut a 4" piece of the Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle at the top left corner of the sentiment label cut out.
