Project Recipe
Cardstock Sizes:
5" x 11" Spider Web Pattern from Monster Bash DSP
7/8" x 2 3/4" Pumpkin Pie
2 1/4" x 2 1/2" Basic Black for the smaller ornate frame
On the 5" side, score at 5/8", 1 1/8", 3 7/8" &
4 3/8". Rotate and score at 2 3/4", 3 1/4", 7 3/4" & 8 1/4". Now you will need to remove the 1 1/8" strip all the way down to the 3 1/4" score line (see picture of diagram). You will need to cut along the 1/2" score line just to the same 1 1/8" score lines on both sides, then remove to the first score line in the flap. You should be left with a 1/2" tab, that will be the bottom edge of your pouch. Burnish all the score lines. Place the tear tape where indicated on the pattern.
When putting the pouch together, you will fold up at the 2 3/4" & 3 1/4" score lines, this will make the bottom of the pouch. Now taking off the tear tape backing on one side at a time, fold in the side flaps and adhere to the inside of the back flap to create the pouch. Reach inside and take the backing off the two smaller flaps and stick to the inside edge.
Die cut the smaller ornate frame with the Basic Black card stock. Using your paper snips, fussy cut out the pumpkin from the Monster Bash DSP sheet, then cover the pumpkin with the Shimmery Crystal Effects and let dry. Depending on your climate, it may take several hours for the Crystal Effects to dry completely. Once the pumpkin is dry you may adhere to the center of the black ornate frame using dimensionals. Glue the Pumpkin Pie strip to the bottom edge of the front pouch flap. While holding the flap closed on the pouch, place a dimensional on the bottom panel of the pouch just below the flap, it should be about 1 5/8" from the edge. Then place the black ornate die piece on the dimensional. This is what will hold your pouch closed.
