I did a stepped up version, or stepped backwards since the one in the catalog is my third level I guess!! I made a simple stamping card, then a stepped up version with a few more supplies and the final one is stepped up from the catalog but the same layout. I hope you enjoy!!
Project Recipe
This card is the simple stamping version. For this card I used a pale papaya base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". Fold on the score line.
Adhere a polished pink layer to the base. It measures 5 x 3 3/4"
The top layer is stamped in black with the images from the Shaded Summer set. This layer is 4 1/2 x 3 1/4"
That is it for this card. Adhere the white onto the polished pink and you are done.
The second card has a couple more elements to it. You still use the same size pale papaya base.
The next layer is polished pink and it measures 5 1/4 x 4"
Use your polished pink ink and stamp the larger rectangle on the front of the polished pink paper. I put down three and put the center one out to the left side of the card.
Next I stamped that same rectangle in the center of a white piece that measures 2 1/2 x 3 3/4". I used the pale papaya ink.
I stamped that same flower from the last card in the center of the white and then glued the white on top of the pink layer.
To add a sentiment I stamped in pale papaya on a strip of basic white and angled one end.
To finish it off I colored some pearls with the dark pale papaya (that sounds funny...oxymoron?) stampin' blend and adhered a few around the front of the card.
The third card has a even more elements to it. You use the same size pale papaya base and polished pink as in card 2.
Use your polished pink ink and stamp the larger rectangle on the front of the polished pink paper. I put down three and put the center one out to the left side of the card.
Next, in the center of a white piece that measures 2 1/2 x 3 3/4" you will stamp full strength and then again above it with the same color. Center the next smaller sized rectangle on the white and start at the bottom. Stamp one image and then move right above it. You can see the outline of the first one through your block to help make sure you are in line. Do the same thing above that one with full strength ink in the next color, then stamp again above it. Repeat with the third color and you are done. I used the pale papaya, polished pink and coastal cabana inks. Adhere that to the card.
I stamped that same flower again on a scrap of basic white and fussy cut it. Add dimensionals to the back and pop it up on top of the white layer. Doesn't that look pretty!
To add a sentiment I stamped in the polished pink and left the strip straight on the ends.
To finish it off I colored some pearls with the light bermuda bay stampin' blend and adhered a few around the front of the card.
