Project Recipe
1. Cut Basic White Thick card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score on the long edge at 4 1/4" and fold card stock and burnish with bone folder.
You can use any Designer Series Paper (DSP) for this project, I'm using the Design a Daydream DSP which is a Host pack of paper that you can only purchase when using $18 in Hostess Rewards from the Annual 2022/2023 catalog from Stampin' Up! (Noted: An order must exceed $150 to earn Hostess Rewards and Rewards start at $15)
Cut a piece of coordinating DSP at 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card front using your favorite adhesive leaving a 1/4" frame.
Cut 2" x 5 1/2" in Basic White Thick Cardstock to stamp the flower images across the bottom half (long side). Notice that I am showing two variations of this card, on one card I used Blackberry Bliss and on the other card I used Starry Sky (reminds me a bit of Bluebonnets).
To get the different colors of stamped floral images, I stamped multiples times in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation of ink.
Cut two strips of cardstock 1/2" x 5 1/2" in a coordinating color, I am using Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive. Adhere this strip of cardstock to the top and bottom of the Basic White Thick cardstock that was stamped with the floral image leaving a very small 1/8" boarder on each edge. Adhere to the card front flat using your favorite adhesive.
Use a scrap of Basic White cardstock and the coordinating background color (Blackberry Bliss or Starry Sky) in the example image to die cut the "Sending" sentiment and background. Adhere accordingly to get the beautiful sentiment outline and then adhere to the card front using dimensionals.
Cut a piece of Basic White Thick cardstock approximately 5/8" by 4" to stamp the sentiment using either Blackberry Bliss or Starry Night and then die cut the sentiment out using one of the label dies in the Sending Smiles dies set. Then adhere to the card front with dimensionals.
Your card is complete. Design and add anything you'd like to the inside of the card as desired.
