P retty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Shaded Spruce Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 3-7/8" square of diagonal green stripes design from Sentimental Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 3" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 6" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1" x 1-3/4" from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Greetings Of The Season Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "season's greetings" script sentiment from the Greetings Of The Season Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the vertical Pool Party rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the right side and about 1" from the bottom.
Pick out the die from the Sending Love Dies that cuts out a flat bottomed cloud shape. Put it on top of one end of the 6" white strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Repeat two more times so you have 3 cloud shapes.
Adhere the cloud shapes to the bottom of the stamped Pool Party rectangle as shown so they overlap each other a bit and create a snow drift.
Pick out the die from the Sending Love Dies that cuts out a mail box post. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the mail box post cut out to the Pool Party rectangle so the bottom of the post is just tucked under the top of the snow drift and the left side of the post is about 5/8" from the left side of the rectangle.
Pick out the die from the Sending Love Dies that cuts out and scores a mail box top. Put it on top of the designer paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Fold the mail box top cut out along all score lines except for the one that folds the door of the mail box shut.
Use a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to hold the folded mail box top together.
Adhere the mail box top to the top of the mail box post as shown.
Pick out the die from the Sending Love Dies that cuts out a mail box flag. Put it on top of one of the Cherry Cobbler rectangles on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the mail box flag to the front of the mail box top as shown so the holes in the flap and mail box top are lined up.
Mount the envelope image from the Sending Love Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it two times on the remaining, short white strip leaving room to cut the images out. Stamp it once on the remaining Cherry Cobbler rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out the matching envelope die from the Sending Love Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped envelopes on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Repeat with the other stamped envelopes.
Adhere the envelope cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they stick out the front of the mail box and overlap each other.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small Pretty Peacock sequin from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the bottom of the flag on the mail box top so it covers the holes.
Cut a 10" piece of the Shaded Spruce 1/2" Satin & Sheer Ribbon.
Tie a small box in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the front of the card as shown where the mail box top and left side of the mail box post join.
