J ust squeeze the sides to open and fill the box. Release and it closes by itself. Use this template when you need a little larger treat box. The finished product measures 4" wide, 4 1/2" tall, and 3" deep at the bottom.
Project Recipe
Ingredients
5 1/2" x 8 1/2" White Card Stock
3 3/4" x 3 3/4" DSP (Cut 2)
Score on the long side at 1/2" and 4 1/2".
Score on the short side at 2" and 6" from the top to the 1" score line. Then score at the 4" and 8" mark from the top to the bottom.
Cut from the top to the 1" score line at the 2", 4", 6", and 8" mark.
Remove the tiny extra piece at the end.
Score diagonally from the 2" cut line to the bottom right edge and bottom center line. Repeat from the 6" line to the center line and bottom left edge. See photo for demo.
Mark the center (1 7/8") of the DSP at the bottom. Repeat on 2nd piece of DSP.
Cut diagonally from upper right corner to the center mark and from the upper left corner to the center mark. Repeat for second piece of DSP. These can be cut together if you are careful to ensure the paper's pattern lays correctly.
Fold each of the scored lines, but don't burnish. You do not need sharp crisp edges for this project.
Adhere the DSP pieces to the cardstock while it is still flat. Liquid glue holds the paper best when the cardstock is folded, but Tear & Tape can also be used.
Build the box by folding at the 4" and 8" marks and secure into a tube.
Fold in two flaps and secure with the remaining flaps.
Flip box over and using a pen or other tool, run it along the inside of the box to secure the bottom.
Once complete, embellish, fill, and enjoy!
