Original design Pootles Paper Craft
Project Recipe
12 - 1.25" squares of DSP
1 - 8" X 9.5" Card stock
16" Ribbon
On the 8" side score at: 1.5", 3", 4.5" and 6" all the way down. Turn to the 9.5" side and score down to the 1 intersecting line ONLY at: 1.5", 3", 4.5", 6", 7.5" and at 9" score all the way down. Flip the paper over so what was the bottom is now the top (still on the 9.5" side just the back now) and score down to the 2nd intersecting line at: 1.5", 3", 4.5" 6" and 7.5" flip the paper back over so the scores through 2 sections are across the bottom.
The 9" score line should be on your right, and the bottom row will be a little larger than the others, that is the bottom of the box and you start by removing the bottom right small rectangle then cut up to the first intersecting line on all bottom tabs, and wedge a small section from each. Now wedge a small section from the top and what is now the bottom of the 9" score line tab. This is where you will put your double sided strong tape. DO NOT put the box together yet.
You have 4 rows of boxes that are the same size, row 1 and row 4 will have the DSP 1.25" squares on them, attach them now. The two middle sections need to be score with an X in each of the 6 columns, you will be making the X through both rows up and down or the total of 6 X's only.
Now fold on the X you just scored, attach the side sections together, then use wet glue to attach the bottom keeping the hexagon shape. Attach the ribbon around the middle of the box, when you want the box to close press at the bottom of the top row of DSP squares.
