Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 4" of yellow and vanilla words on orange background from Spooky Night Designer Series Paper, cut so the words are horizontal
- scrap of Daffodil Delight Cardstock at least 1" wide (or use the solid circle you'll cut out of the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock)
- scrap of Basic Black Cardstock at least 1-1/4" square (or use the solid circle you'll cut out of the3-1/4" Basic Black square)
Mount the front/back jack o' lantern image from the Seasonal Chums Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Very Vanilla strip. Set aside to let the ink dry thoroughly.
Pick out the smooth circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-3/8" wide. Place the Daffodil Delight rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth circle framelit on top so it is centered side to side and about 1/4" from the top edge. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. You are using the rectangle with the circle cut out of the top. You can throw away the solid circle or use it to stamp and punch out the sentiment in a later step.
Place the opened Pumpkin Pie card on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Daffodil Delight rectangle with the circle cut out of it on top of the front flap of the card so it is centered. Place the smooth circle framelit on top so it is centered over the previously cut hole in the Daffodil Delight layer. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the smooth circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-7/8" wide. Place the large Basic Black square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth circle framelit on top, then place the 2-3/8" wide smooth circle framelit in the center. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. You are using the thin outline circle that you create. You can throw away the solid circle or use it to cut out the spider web in a later step.
Place the black outline circle cut out upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters and clamp the triangle edge of one quarter in a large binder clip. Squeeze a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the circle outline cut out. Flip the circle outline cut out over and adhere it to the Daffodil Delight layer so it frames the circle.
Adhere the strip of Spooky Night Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the Daffodil Delight layer under the circle.
Mount the "Trick or Treat!" sentiment from the Seasonal Chums Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp on the scrap of Daffodil Delight Cardstock.
Unlock the Classic Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch. Carefully line up the sentiment so it is centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment punch out to the lower right corner of the designer paper on the Daffodil Delight layer so the right edge of the punch out sticks over the edge. Trim off excess using Paper Snips.
Pick out the spider web thinlit from the Seasonal Tags Framelits. Place the scrap of Basic Black Cardstock on the Precision Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the spider web thinlit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the card stock.
Place the spider web cut out upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Use the Stamping Sponge quarter in a large binder clip again. Squeeze more Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet if needed. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the spider web cut out. Flip the spider web cut out over and adhere it to the upper left corner of the designer paper on the bottom of the Daffodil Delight layer.
Cut a 5" piece of Vintage Crochet Trim.
Lay the crochet trim piece across the Daffodil Delight/designer paper layers so it covers the seam between the layers. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the crochet trim over. Adhere the ends of the crochet trim in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Basic Black Baker's Twine.
Lay the twine piece across the back of the Daffodil Delight layer so it runs vertically across the circle cut out. Adhere the ends of the twine in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the Daffodil Delight layer. Adhere the layer to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card so the circles are centered over each other.
Pick out the double pumpkin framelit from the Seasonal Tags Framelits. Place the stamped pumpkins image on on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the double pumpkin framelit on top so it is centered over the pumpkin images. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Fold the pumpkin tag in half. Use Paper Snips to cut the halves apart along the fold line and to cut off the little ribbon loop on the one piece.
Use the Markers to color in the pumpkin images. I used Pumpkin Pie for the main body of the pumpkin, Cajun Craze to outline the face cut outs, Daffodil Delight inside the face cut outs, and Old Olive on the leaves and stem.
Lay the back of the pumpkin tag piece upside down behind the Baker's Twine stretched across the circle so the Baker's Twine runs down the center. Secure the tag piece to the Baker's Twine using pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape pieces and carefully adhere the front of the pumpkin to the back of the back of the pumpkin tag so that the Baker's Twine is sandwiched between the two pumpkin tags.
Place a medium Black Rhinestone Jewel on the left edge of the sentiment punch out.
Wind the spinner card up before putting it into the envelope and giving it away. When someone pulls the card out of the envelope, the pumpkin will spin around and you'll get a "Wow!"
