Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Copper Clay Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Copper Clay Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2" x 3-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Insert the Blueberry Bushel rectangle into the Into The Clouds Embossing Folder so the lines of the folder will be horizontal on the horizontal rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Seasonal Branches Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the longer branch image from the Seasonal Branches Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Copper Clay Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Copper Clay rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open large branch die from the Seasonal Branches Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the branch cut out to the upper left side of the dry embossed Blueberry Bushel rectangle. The top edges of the branch should be about 1" from the top of the rectangle and the right edges should be about 1-3/4" from the right edge of the rectangle. Trim off excess branch on the left edge of the rectangle.
Adhere the dry embossed Blueberry Bushel rectangle with branch attached to the front of the Copper Clay card.
Mount the large group of leaves image from the Seasonal Branches Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" Old Olive rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open group of leaves die from the Seasonal Branches Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the leaves cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ends of all the branch tips.
Mount the bird image from the Seasonal Branches Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Copper Clay Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/2" x 2" vanilla rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open bird die from the Seasonal Branches Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Squeeze the lid of the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the tail, wing, back, and head of the bird. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more ink is coming off the Blender Pen.
Squeeze the lid of the Copper Clay Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the breast of the bird. Leave a small amount of the belly uncolored. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more ink is coming off the Blender Pen.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the colored bird cut out to the card front so he is sitting on the branch as shown.
Mount the Countryside Corners stamp on Block F. Leave the stamp rubber side up on your work surface and press the open Old Olive Ink Pad to the center of the stamp a couple of times to get it inky.
Leave the stamp inky rubber side up on your work surface. Carefully place the remaining large vanilla rectangle on top of the inky stamp so it covers the center of the stamp. Place a piece of Grid Paper on top of the cardstock/inky rubber and rub firmly all over. Remove the Grid Paper and the inked up cardstock rectangle.
Mount the "you're in my thoughts" or "happy birthday wishes" sentiment from the Seasonal Branches Set on Block G. Use the side of the brush tip of the Blueberry Bushel Stampin' Write Marker to ink up only the words "in my thoughts" or "happy birthday." Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the small rectangle stamped with the Countryside Corners stamp.
Pick out the die from the Countryside Corners Dies that cuts out a label that is 3/4" x 2-3/8". Put it on top of the stamped sentiment label image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Pick out the set of 5 solid. little leaves die from the Seasonal Branches Dies and the small, thin banner die from the Countryside Corners Dies. Put them on top of the remaining small Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Cut the thin banner strip in half. Adhere the halves to the back of each side of the horizontal sentiment label cut out so about 1/4" of the banner strip sticks out on each side.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered sentiment label cut out to the front of the card in the lower right corner as shown.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere 3 of the tiny leaf cut outs to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 large Copper Clay gems from the sheet of Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to either side of the sentiment label cut out so they are centered over the seam between the vanilla label and the Old Olive banner strips.
