A n Easel Card for Christmas in July (in August)
Project Recipe
Cut a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 inch Thick White cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11 inches.
*Score at 5 1/2 inches.
Score only one side at 2 3/4 inches.
See picture for cutting and folding instructions.
NOT SEEN: Stamp one of the sentiments from the stamp set in Balmy Blue on the back of the card.
Set aside.
On a piece of scrap cardstock, stamp the Merry Christmas greeting and cut out with the Everyday Label punch.
Set aside.
Cut another piece of Thick White cardstock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.
Line up the large snowflake die on the 4 1/4 inch edge of the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch piece of card.
Die cut the snowflakes for the 'crown' of your card.
Using the Balmy Blue ink, stamp snowflakes all over the bottom section of your die cut snowflake card piece. Be sure to stamp off.
Run the embossing buddy all over the front of your card, taking care not to snag the snowflake cut-outs.
Stamp "Season's Greetings" in the top center of the card. Sprinkle with silver embossing powder, repeating this 3 or 4 times for complete coverage.
Protecting your fingers, use the heat gun to melt the powder and create your sentiment.
Take a 6 inch piece of Silver Edged ribbon and wrap it around the back of the embossed piece of card. Adhere.
Take the scored card base, and adhere the embossed piece to the shortest scored piece that measures 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches.
Be sure to line up the bottoms so both card pieces meet.
Take the Everyday Label piece and adhere with dimensionals at a place on the card base so the die cut and embossed piece will 'stand up' to make the easel.
With the Silver Foil, use the swirl die cut to add some silver swirls to the front and inside near the Merry Christmas.
Tie a double bow, and adhere with glue dots.
Print this for adhering to card for recipient.
