Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and specialty paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 4" x 10-1/2" from Petal Pink Cardstock scored at 2-5/8" and 7-7/8"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 5-1/4"" of pink, white, and brown scallop shells on brushed brown and white background design from Texture Chic 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, scored at 1/2" along a 5-1/4" edge
- 3" x 3-3/4" from Distressed Gold 12" x 12" Specialty Paper
- 1-3/4" square from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Fold the two side flaps of the long Petal Pink strip into the center.
As you are ready to stamp using the Season Of Chic Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Place the folded shut Petal Pink card on the Stampin' Pierce Mat on top of some Grid Paper. Mount the more solid scallop shell image on Block C. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the front of the folded shut Petal Pink card. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images go off the edges. Leave the stamp on the block!
Ink up the more solid scallop shell image on Block C using the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Very Vanilla square. Re-ink the stamp again and stamp it in the center of the small Petal Pink square.
Place the folded shut Petal Pink card back on the Stampin' Pierce Mat on top of some Grid Paper. Mount the more detailed scallop shell image on Block C. Ink it up with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp over the top of the more solid scallop shell images on the front of the folded shut Petal Pink card. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Leave the stamp on the block!
Ink up the more detailed scallop shell image on Block C using the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped shell on the small Very Vanilla square. Re-ink the stamp again and stamp it over the top of the previously stamped shell on the small Petal Pink square.
Place the folded shut Petal Pink card back on the Stampin' Pierce Mat on top of some Grid Paper. Mount the smaller, sparser splatter image on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the front of the folded shut Petal Pink card. Remember to re-ink the stamp every so often, but stamp some images without re-inking. Change the orientation of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images go off the edges. Let some of the images overlap each other and the previously stamped shell images.
Pick out the squared-off, scalloped edge die from the Basic Borders Dies. Put it along the 5-1/4" edge that is NOT scored of the Texture Chic Designer Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered side to side and will cut off about 1/4" of the designer paper. Run through the machine.
Fold the cut designer paper along the score line.
Put a line of Tear & Tape Adhesive lengthwise down the inside edge of the folded small flap (straight edge) of the cut designer paper. Remove the protective backing. Adhere the envelope flap to the BACK of the center piece of the folded and stamped Petal Pink card so the cut flap will fold over the front of the folded shut card.
Adhere the folded shut card with the envelope flap designer paper attached to the center of the Soft Suede rectangle.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Season Of Chic Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal, large vanilla rectangle.
Adhere the stamped vanilla rectangle to the inside of the card.
Pick out the piece of net die from the Chic Dies. Put it on top of the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick and/or Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces.
Put a small strip (about 1-1/2" long) of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the bottom of the center of the envelope flap when it is closed over the closed card. Remove the protective backing. Adhere the net cut out to the front of the flap as shown so it is mostly centered.
Pick out the large, open scallop shell die from the Chic Dies. Put it on top of the stamped scallop image on the vanilla square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine. Repeat with the stamped scallop image on the Petal Pink square.
Put a small strip (about 1-1/2" long) of Tear & Tape Adhesive in the center of the net cut out near the bottom of the center of the envelope flap when it is closed over the closed card. Remove the protective backing. Adhere the scallop shell cut outs to the flap so they overlap a bit as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up five small pearls from the sheet of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels making sure you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the envelope flap on the card front. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the edges of the envelope flap or your card may not open.
Cut an 8" piece of the gold trim from the Simply Elegant Trim.
Tie a small bow in the center of the gold trim. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the trim bow to the envelope flap on the front of the card at a slight angle near the bottom left side of the left scallop shell cut out. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the edges of the envelope flap or your card may not open.
