I used Bruno Bertucci's Scrappy Strip Technique for this card. I am loving this technique, because it is super easy, I like the look of it, and it is also great for using up scraps that seem to accumulate in my craft room!!
Project Recipe
Cut 3 pieces of Misty Moonlight cardstock 4-1/4" x 1-1/2". Cut each piece into three strips, by cutting a "V-shape" (see photo). This will give you nine strips, which should be wider at one end, and narrow at the other. Run each of the nine strips through different embossing folders (I used nine different ones--see supply list).
Glue the strips to a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Pool Party cardstock, having the first strip even with the short edge of the Pool Party piece. Leave a 1/16" gap between strips. Overlap each strip over the long edges of the Pool Party piece. Trim the overhanging strips evenly with all edges of the Pool Party piece. Mount on a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Pool Party cardstock.
Wrap a 21" piece of 3/8" Sheer Pool Party ribbon, tie into a bow, and then attach the card front to a Misty Moonlight card base (8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4").
Stamp the sentiment, from Itty Bitty Greetings, in Memento Black or Misty Moonlight ink. Cut out with the smallest Stitched So Sweetly die. Adhere to the card with Mini Dimensionals, above and below the ribbon.
Glue a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card.
