W hen deciding what background paper to use for "Beach Memories", I stumbled across the shaving cream technique! I'm pleased that using the earth tones of reinkers on Very Vanilla cardstock resulted in pages that look like sand!
Project Recipe
To colour the background pages - use the Shaving Cream Technique. Put shaving cream in container larger than card stock to be coloured. Add drops of reinker as desired, swirl, place card stock face down on top of the shaving cream - squish to make sure all of the paper is covered, remove and scrape extra shaving cream off, let dry.
Stamp Hardwood using Island Indigo on Crumb Cake. Trim stamped image, cut in half across the panels, cut lengthwise between each panel. After the Baker's Twine has been attached near the bottom of the page, adhere the "fence panels" over the twine.
Stamp required letters in Island Indigo on Very Vanilla, punch with 1-1/4" Circle Punch, adhere to 1-3/8" Circle punched out of Island Indigo.
Stamp Speed Boat in Island Indigo on Very Vanilla. Using Aqua Painter, apply Island Indigo ink to "ground" the boat.
Stamp 3 anchors on Very Vanilla using Island Indigo ink, punch out with 1-3/8" Circle Punch, adhere to Island Indigo scallop circle.
Layer DSP after tearing lengthwise to resemble waves. Adhere layers together when satisfied with the way they look.
Umbrella - cut bottom scallops with 1/2" Circle Punch, punch with 2" Circle Punch, add small sliver of Crumb Cake card stock for handle, use Gold Wink of Stella to outline umbrella ribs.
Punch "bubbles" with 1", 3/4" and 1/2" Circle Punches. Arrange as desired and adhere with Tomboy white glue.
