Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic Black Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2" x 4" of small black and white plaid design from Gingham Cottage 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-5/8" x 2-5/8" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 1" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Adhere a strip of the black washi tape from Glitter Washi Tape to one long edge of the 2-1/2" x 4" Basic Black rectangle. Adhere another strip of the black washi tape to the other long edge of the 2-1/2" x 4" Basic Black rectangle. Use Paper Snips Scissors as needed to trim the washi tape.
Adhere the strip of black and white plaid Gingham Cottage Designer Paper to the center of the washi taped black rectangle. The left and right edges will be even.
Adhere the washi tape/designer paper/cardstock rectangle to the top of the Pumpkin Pie rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the top. The left and right edges will be even.
Adhere the Pumpkin Pie rectangle with washi tape/designer paper/cardstock rectangle attached to the front of the Basic Black card.
Cut two strips of the Pumpkin Pie washi tape from the Glitter Washi Tape each about 1-1/4" long. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut a notch in one end of each strip.
Adhere the notched Pumpkin Pie washi tape strips to the front of the card so they are centered horizontally across the center of the designer paper strip and the notched ends are about 3/8" from the left and right edges of the card.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side so it is in the topmost hinge space. Put the Stamparatus Foam Mat on the base of the Stamparatus.
Place the 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Basic White Cardstock somewhere on the base of the Stamparatus near the center.
Pick out the group of 3 trick or treaters image from the Scary Cute Set. Place the stamp rubber side down on the cardstock on the Stamparatus base so it is centered on the cardstock. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the cardstock on the Stamparatus base and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Tip: If the image isn't dark enough to suit you, re-ink it and repeat. Just make sure your cardstock hasn't moved.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the 1-5/8" x 2-5/8" black rectangle. Then, adhere it to the center of the designer paper rectangle on the front of the card.
Cut two strips of the black washi tape from the Glitter Washi Tape each about 1-1/4" long. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut a notch in one end of each strip.
Adhere the notched black washi tape strips to the front of the card so they are horizontal and are about 5/8" from the bottom of the card and are about 2-1/4" long with notched edges on either end. It's okay if they overlap in the center a bit. The right notched end should be about 1/2" from the right side of the card.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Scary Cute Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" white strip.
Pick out the sentiment banner die from the Scary Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the sentiment banner cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals from the Basic Black Stampin' Dimensionals Combo Pack to adhere the sentiment banner cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the notched black washi tape strips.
Pick out the black cat die from the Scary Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of the 1-3/4" black square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Cut a 1/2" piece of the Pumpkin Pie washi tape from the Glitter Washi Tape.
Put some Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the black cat cut out around the eyes. Adhere the tiny strip of Pumpkin Pie washi tape to the back of the cat's head so the glittery Pumpkin Pie will show through the eyes.
Add additional Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to the back of the black cat cut out with washi tape attached and adhere it to the front of the card so it is tucked under the top edge of the sentiment banner cut out and is centered side to side.
Put strips of the Pumpkin Pie washi tape from the Glitter Washi Tape vertically down the center of the small vertical Pumpkin Pie rectangle so the center edges are tight against each other. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess washi tape on the edges.
Pick out the crescent moon die from the Scary Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of the washi tape/cardstock rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you'll cut out the moon shape from the washi tape. Run through the machine.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the washi tape moon cut out to the front of the card in the upper left corner of the matted trick or treaters image as shown.
