Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 3-1/2" square from Real Red Cardstock
- 3" square of red, black, and yellow plaid design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" square of red, black, and yellow plaid design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 5/8" x 1-1/2" of red, black, and yellow plaid design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 3/4" square
- tiny scrap of red, black, and yellow plaid design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
Fold together the Mini Pizza Box. Place some Sweet Soiree Ready Shreddie inside and then place the gift card inside. Close the box.
Pick out the scalloped square framelit that cuts out a 3" scalloped square from the Layering Squares Framelits. Place the Real Red square on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped square framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the red scalloped square to the box lid.
Cut a 20" piece of Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon around the box so it will help keep it closed using just a half knot for now. Make sure the half knot is near the top of the box lid. Do NOT completely tie the ribbon in a bow yet, you need to be able to add the tag in a later step.
Pick out the straight square framelit that cuts out a 2-5/8" square from the Layering Squares Framelits. Place the large Christmas Around the World plaid square on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the square framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the plaid square on the left and right sides only. Peel off the protective backings and adhere the plaid square to the center of the red scalloped square on the box lid making sure that the ribbon can slide smoothly between the Stampin' Dimensionals without getting stuck.
Pick out the square framelit that cuts out a 2-3/8" square from the Layering Squares Framelits. Place the large white square on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the square framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the white square to the center of the plaid designer paper square on the box lid.
Mount the Santa's back image from the Santa's Suit Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it onto the 2" square of white cardstock. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the Santa's back image stamp with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2" square of designer paper. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the Santa's back image one more time with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the tiny piece of plaid designer paper so you get the flap in the underwear stamped on the designer paper.
Pick out the matching Santa's back framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits. Place the stamped Santa's back image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Santa's back framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the image on Grid Paper to protect your work surface since Stampin' Blends Markers bleed through the cardstock. Use the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker to color in Santa's head, feet, and hands.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the underwear only from the Santa's back image stamped on the plaid designer paper.
Adhere the cut out underwear over the underwear on the Santa's back image using a Mini Glue Dot behind each leg, each arm, and right below the top.
Place the Santa's back image on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Use one blade of the Paper Snips to poke a slit along the top edge of the back flap on Santa's underwear. Then, use the Snips to carefully cut along the top and both sides of the underwear flap so it will fold down.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the underwear flap from the scrap of plaid designer paper.
Fold the underwear flap down and adhere the cut out flap to the back of the underwear flap using a Mini Glue Dot.
Use the brush tip of the Basic Black Marker to carefully color the edges of the flap and the flap hole to cover any white or rough edges.
Place the 3/4" square of white cardstock on the Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker to color the entire square.
Without adhering, place the Santa's back cut out over the piece of colored cardstock so you can see it through the open underwear flap.
Use the fine tip of the Basic Black Marker to draw in Santa's butt cheeks and crack in the bottom middle of the colored paper showing through the open flap.
Using Mini Glue Dots, adhere the Santa's back image over the colored white piece so you can see Santa's bottom through the flap. Trim off any excess cardstock if needed.
Adhere the Santa's back image to the lower right corner of the white square on the box lid.
Mount both boot images from the Santa's Suit Set on Block B so they are as far apart as you can get them. Ink them up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp on end of the long strip of white cardstock.
Mount the outline Santa's hat image from the Santa's Suit Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the long white strip of cardstock.
Mount the inside of Santa's hat image from the Santa's Suite Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped hat image.
Pick out the matching Santa's hat and both boot framelits from the Santa Builder Framelits. Place the stamped hat and boot images on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Santa's hat and both boot framelits on top so they are centered over the stamped images. Make sure the framelits do not overlap. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the boots to the left of the Santa's back image on the top of the box so they overlap at the top a bit and are slightly angled.
Adhere the hat to the top of the box on top of the boots.
Pick out the tag framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits. Place the remaining piece of white cardstock on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the tag framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the "Have a Jolly Christmas!" sentiment from the Santa's Suit Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp on the top of the tag.
Adhere the small strip of plaid designer paper to the bottom of the tag and use Paper Snips to trim off excess.
Write a message on the back of the tag if desired using the fine tip of the Basic Black Marker.
Slide the tag onto one end of the ribbon. Tie in place using a bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
