A ll of the Sale-A-Bration items that you get for FREE are great and I love all of them. The two that I chose to use together in this project are probably my most favorite of the 1st release.
Project Recipe
To begin this super cute card you will need a couple of free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets; By the Bay (149739) and So Hoppy Together (149725) - Each set is free with a $50 purchase. To tease with an item to be released 1 March 2019 the Hop Around Framelit Die Set (150073) used to cut out the frogs, dragonfly and flies. The paper used is 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) Gingham Gala in Highland Heather (148554) cut to 5-1/4"x 4 and a 3/4"x4" strip , Highland Heather Cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" and a 1-1/2" circle from the Gingham Gala Cardstock Pack (148555), Whisper white Cardstock cut to 4"x 3-3/4" another cut to 5-1/4" x 4" and finally a 2"x3" piece of scrap to be cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits (148551). The Butterfly was punched from the 12"x12" Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper which is also free with a $50 purchasewith the Butterfly Duet Punch (148523). Sequins are from the Gingham Gala Adhesive-Back Sequins pack (148561).
From the By the Bay stamp set, pull out the cottage stamp, place on a block or in the Stamparatus (146276). Stamp the cottage on the 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock in the top left corner in Crumbcake. On your largest clear stamp block or a white glazed ceramic tile, tap Crushed Curry on the block or tile, pull out the Aqua Painter and begin to water color the sky above and around the cottage, Use some Blushing Bride in the same manner above the yellow to create a morning sky. Rinse block and repeat with Pool Party brush a tiny bit to fill in the water line. Rinse clear block again, tap with crumbcake, water the color down with the Aqua Painter, wash the beach area.
The water color pencils are a good substitute for the ink colors. I used the Watercolor pencils on the frogs, dragonfly and flies.
Stamp and color the Frogs, Dragonfly and Flies on some Whisper White scrap. If you plan to watercolor these guys you will need to use the Staz-on Black ink, it won't smear. On another Whisper White scrap stamp your sentiment, cut out with the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies, attach to 1-1/2" Highland Heather Circle. Attach the colored Frog, Butterfly (which can easily be replaced with another Dragonfly from the stampset if you do not have the Botanical Butterfly DSP), Dragonfly, flies and sentiment to the front panel of the card around the earlier stamped cottage. Attach the completed panel to the 4"x5-1/4" Gingham Gala DSP, then attach all of that to the Highland Heather Card base.
For inside the card, attach the 3/4" strip of Gingham Gala DSP flush to the right side of the Whisper White 5-1/4" x 4" panel. Attach the second frog and flies to the bottom right corner of the panel, stamp the sentiment in the center. Attach the completed panel to the inside of the card. So much fun to create this card - I love the frogs.
