Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Foil Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of lines of shiny vines on Old Olive background from Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are vertical on the vertical piece
- 3-1/2" square of Pretty Peacock foil from Noble Peacock Foil Sheets
- 3" x 6" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square of Blueberry Bushel foil from Noble Peacock Foil Sheets
Pick out the scalloped circle die from the Layering Circle Dies that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 3-1/8" wide. Put it on top of the Pretty Peacock foil square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive or SNAIL Adhesive, to adhere the scalloped circle foil cut out to the piece of Noble Peacock Designer Paper so the top edge is about 5/8" from the top and the left edge goes over the left edge of the designer paper a small amount. Use Paper Snips to trim off the excess on the left edge.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive and/or SNAIL Adhesive to adhere the designer paper rectangle to the front of the Blueberry Bushel card.
Carefully remove both magnets from the back of the Stamparatus. Do NOT let the magnets get too close to each other or they will snap together and could break.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side. Put the Stamparatus Deluxe Foam Mat on the base of the Stamparatus.
Place the white rectangle on the Stamparatus base. Use magnets to hold the cardstock in place. Make a note of the lines you put the cardstock on in case you need to replace it.
Pick out the peacock image from the Royal Peacock Set. Place it upside down in the center of the white rectangle. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the top portion of the stamp on the plate using the Blueberry Bushel and Pretty Peacock Ink Pads. Use the Blueberry Bushel Ink on the head and body portion and maybe a bit of the beginning of the tail area. Use the Pretty Peacock Ink on the beginning of the tail area where the feathers are close together. It's okay if the two blue colors of ink overlap a bit.
If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the white cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have Blueberry Bushel or Pretty Peacock Stampin' Spots on hand, use them to ink up the stamp instead of full sized ink pads. They will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Use the Simply Shammy to clean any remaining ink off the stamp, but leave it in place on the Stamparatus plate.
Make sure the cardstock is in the same position as originally on the base of the Stamparatus.
Ink up the bottom portion of the stamp on the plate using the Old Olive Ink Pad. You are inking up all the wide spread feathers and up onto the closely spaced feathers a tiny bit.
If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the white cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate.

Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and remove it from the plate and put it away.
Pick out the detailed tail feathers image from the Royal Peacock Set. Place it upside down on the stamped peacock image on the tail area so the tiny single dots line up to fill in the "eyes" on the feathers. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.

Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and remove it from the plate and put it away.
Pick out the open peacock die from the Detailed Peacock Dies. Put the die on top of the stamped peacock image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the peacock image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Use the Blueberry Bushel Marker to color in the centers of the "eyes" on the feathers more thoroughly if needed.
Use the Pretty Peacock Marker to color in the outlines around the "eyes" on the feathers and to color the closely spaced feathers on the back of the peacock and a couple of the feathers on the peacock's head.
Use the Old Olive Marker to color in the closely spaced feathers at the top of the tail, the open spaces on the peacock's belly, wing, neck, and head, and the remaining feathers on the peacock's head.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive or SNAIL Adhesive to adhere the colored and cut out peacock image to the front of the card so it overlaps the foil scallop circle near the right edge. Don't put too much adhesive on the edge of the tail on what is the right side when the image is face up so that you can tuck the feather cut out under there later on.
As you are ready to stamp using the Royal Peacock Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "You are incredible" sentiment from the Royal Peacock Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Blueberry Bushel Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the Old Olive rectangle.
Pick out the open, stitched, label die from the Perfect Parcel Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive or SNAIL Adhesive, to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the right side of the peacock a bit just below the belly.
Pick out the detailed, large feather die from the Detailed Peacock Dies. Put the die on top of the Blueberry Bushel Foil Sheet square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Make sure the foil side of the foil sheet is face up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the feather cut out to the front of the card at an upward angle so it overlaps the bottom right side of the sentiment label cut out a little and tucks under the peacocks tail on the right side. Use Paper Snips to cut off excess feather at the bottom if needed.
Cut a 3-1/2” piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at an angle on the upper left corner of the sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up two different sized Old Olive rhinestones from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones being sure to get adhesives as well. Adhere them to the scalloped foil circle over the peacock's back.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a small Blueberry Bushel or Pretty Peacock rhinestone from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones being sure to get adhesive as well. Adhere to peacock’s head where the eye would be.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a large Blueberry Bushel or Pretty Peacock rhinestone from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones being sure to get adhesive as well. Adhere to the bottom right corner of the card front over a set of leaves on a line of vines.
