arch 2022 Customer Tutorial
This is the tutorial I created for my customers who placed an order in March.
Project Recipe
Dimensions:
Calypso Coral 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 and folded to create a landscape card base.
Pacific Point 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 and folded to create a portrait card base.
DSP 6-1/4" x 4" for the portrait card.
4-3/4" x 5" for the landscape card.
Basic White Cardstock 4" x 5-1/4" for inside.
(2) 3-1/4" x 1-1/4" for greeting and pelican.
Blue Foil 4-1/2" x 1/2"
Rip the DSP top from the bottom (not top to bottom.)
Flip one of the pieces over and adhere both to the card base. This is where the extra DSP width or length is important. There needs to be enough to overlap.
Stamp the sentiment and pelican onto Basic White Cardstock. Die-cut using the Waves Dies. I like that both sentiments from this set make a great outside greeting and inside saying.
Use the Banners Pick a Punch to create a whale tale at each end of the Blue Foil. Thread it through the back of the greeting. I taped it in place with a bit of tape to hold it before I added it to the card.
I use foam sheets to adhere the images/greeting to the front of the card. I feel they are more uniform and sturdier. I do use Stampin' Dimensionals for smaller areas.
Once you adhere the images to the card front use the other 5-1/2" x 4" piece of white cardstock for the inside. Before adhering it, stamp the pelican in the bottom corner and stamp the sentiment on the inside. For one of the cards I used Smokey Slate Stampin' Ink Pad, and for the other I used Soft Suede Stampin' Ink Pad. That way you can flip it over and re-stamp it if you don't like how it turned out the first time. ;-)
Adhere to the inside of the card using Multipurpose glue.
Finish off the outside with a few Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels!
