Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" of small dark green plaid design from Gingham Cottage 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3/4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 3/4" X 1-1/4" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 1" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
Carefully remove a magnet from the back of the Stamparatus.
Tip: To make it easier to grab the magnets and to help keep them from breaking if they snap together, wrap them in strips of washi tape or masking tape leaving folded over pieces to grab on to.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side so it is in the topmost hinge space. Put the Stamparatus Foam Mat on the base of the Stamparatus.
Place the piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock on the base of the Stamparatus so it is vertical and is tight to the top and right sides of the Stamparatus base. Put the magnet vertically across the left side of the cardstock rectangle to hold it in place.
Pick out the large, solid, block letter "birthday" sentiment from the Biggest Wish Set. Place the stamp upside down on the cardstock on the Stamparatus base so it is as close to the top and right edges as possible. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Garden Green Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the cardstock on the Stamparatus base and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Tip: If the images aren't dark enough to suit you, re-ink them and repeat.
Tip: If you have a Garden Green Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamps. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamps.
Remove the plate from the hinges and then reinsert it in the hinges TWO steps down (the top of the plate should be in the 3rd hinge). Leave the cardstock in place. Re-ink the stamp on the plate using the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp. Open the plate.
Remove the plate from the hinges and then reinsert it in the hinges TWO steps down (the top of the plate should be in the 5th hinge). Leave the cardstock in place. Re-ink the stamp on the plate using the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp. Open the plate.
Use the Simply Shammy to clean the ink off the stamp, but leave the stamp in place on the Stamparatus plate.
Remove the plate from the hinges and then reinsert it in the hinges so the top of the plate is in the 2nd hinge. Leave the cardstock in place. Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp. Open the plate.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have a Soft Suede Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Remove the plate from the hinges and then reinsert it in the hinges TWO steps down (the top of the plate should be in the 4th hinge). Leave the cardstock in place. Re-ink the stamp on the plate using the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp. Open the plate.
Use the Simply Shammy to clean the ink off the stamp, but leave the stamp in place on the Stamparatus plate.
Remove the plate from the hinges and flip it over so the other side of the plate will close onto the Stamparatus. Insert it back into the topmost hinge on the right side of the Stamparatus. Leave the cardstock in place.
Pick out the script "happy" sentiment from the Biggest Wish Set. Place the stamp upside down on the cardstock on the Stamparatus base so it is centered over the right side of the solid word "birthday" already stamped there in Garden Green. The end of the word should be as close as possible to the right edge. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Soft Suede Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue or the Simply Shammy. Close the plate onto the cardstock on the Stamparatus base and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.

Remove the stamped cardstock from the Stamparatus.
Adhere the strip of Gingham Cottage Designer Paper to the long, skinny strip of Soft Suede so about 1/8" of Soft Suede shows along a long edge. The top and bottom edges of both edges should be even.
Adhere the designer paper/Soft Suede strip to the left side of the stamped vanilla rectangle so there is about 1/8" of vanilla showing between the ends of the stamped words and the Soft Suede strip. The top and bottom edges of all pieces should be even.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess designer paper along the left edge of the vanilla rectangle.
Adhere the stamped vanilla rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Garden Green card.
Pick out the large set of multiple tree rings die from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the 2-1/4" Crumb Cake square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the three smaller rings are on the right side and the ring on the bottom is centered over the cardstock. Run through the machine.
Insert the Crumb Cake ring cut out into the Embossing Folder from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder so the ring is centered in the rings in the upper left corner of the folder when you can see the logo on the front of the folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ringed With Nature Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the tree rings image from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the dry embossed tree rings cut out a couple of times, re-inking the stamp each time.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the stamped and dry embossed tree rings cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the designer paper/Soft Suede strip as shown.
Pick out the stem with two leaves with one of the leaves on the top right side die from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the Garden Green rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the stem with leaves cut out to the top of the tree rings cut out so the stem hangs over the top edge a bit and the top leaf on the right hangs over the edge a bit as well.
Pick out the acorn top die from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the small, skinny Soft Suede rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Pick out the curved acorn bottom die from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the small Crumb Cake square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Mount the set of three acorn bottoms/mushroom tops image from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block B. Ink up the larger, fatter acorn bottom/mushroom top image by pressing just it to the open Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crumb Cake acorn bottom cut out.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the acorn top cut out to the top of the tree rings cut out so it appears to be hanging from the end of the stem cut out.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the stamped acorn bottom cut out to the top of the tree rings cut out so the top of the acorn bottom is tucked under the bottom of the acorn top and is centered side to side.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Natural 1/2" Woven Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the stem cut out on the front of the card at a slight angle.
