Q uick and easy Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 4-3/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Ringed With Nature Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the poinsettia flower image from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp the image randomly all over the Very Vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the poinsettia flower image on Block C with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp the image randomly all over the Very Vanilla rectangle filling in some of the blank spaces. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock and let them overlap the Petal Pink flowers. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and put it away.
Mount the multi-leaf stem image from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp the image randomly all over the Very Vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock and let them overlap the stamped flowers and fill in any blank spaces.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a 3" x 4-1/4" stitched rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top the stamped vanilla rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you cut out as much as you can. You will not cut out a full rectangle. Run through the machine.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a 3-3/8" x 4-3/4" stitched rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top the large Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you cut out as much as you can. You will not cut out a full rectangle. Run through the machine.
Adhere the stamped vanilla rectangle cut out to the center of the Old Olive rectangle cut out so about 3/16" of green shows on the left, top, and bottom edges. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess cardstock on the right edge.
Adhere the matted rectangles to the front of the Poppy Parade card on the right side so about 3/8" of Poppy Parade shows above the rectangles and about 1-1/8" of Poppy Parade shows on the left side. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess cardstock on the right side of the card as needed.
Cut a 5-1/4" piece of the White 3/4" Frayed Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on each end.
Put a 3-1/2" strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the center of the card front about 1-1/2" from the bottom.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape and adhere the piece of ribbon to it so it runs horizontally across the card about 1-1/8" from the bottom.
Pick out the long, skinny label with leafy ends die from the Eden Dies. Put it on top of the Old Olive strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Mount the "merry christmas" sentiment from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the leafy label cut out.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the stamped leafy label cut out to the center of the ribbon strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three tiny pearls from the sheet of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a straight line down just to the left of the matted poinsettia rectangles as shown.
