P layful Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Parakeet Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 1" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 3/4" x 1" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 1/8" x 3" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Ringed With Nature Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the set of three mushroom tops image from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it across the horizontal 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle several times so some of the image go off the left and right edges and the tops of the images are about 3/4" from the top of the cardstock. Re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the set of three mushroom tops image on Block B using the Parakeet Party Ink Pad. Stamp it across the horizontal 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle a couple of times so it fills in the spaces between the previously stamped Sweet Sorbet images. Re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images overlap. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the large Sweet Sorbet rectangle and then to the front of the Parakeet Party card.
Mount the "tis the season" sentiment from the Christmas To Remember Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the skinny white strip.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the sentiment by hand following the stamped lines.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the really thin strip of Parakeet Party to the back of the cut out sentiment so it sticks out on the left and right sides.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim the ends of the very thin Parakeet Party strip at sharp angles so the bits sticking out to the sides of the sentiment are only about 1/4" long.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out and layered sentiment strip to the bottom right side of the card front as shown.
Pick out the small mushroom cap die from the dies included with the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. One at a time, put it on top of the small pieces of Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party cardstock on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Repeat until you've cut out two Parakeet Party "gumdrops" and one Sweet Sorbet "gumdrop."
Use Stampin' Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Sweet Sorbet gumdrop to the front of the card somewhere amongst the stamped "gumdrops." Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the two Parakeet Party gumdrops to the front of the card somewhere amongst the stamped "gumdrops."
Use the Take Your Pick to peel up 5 small jewels from the sheet of Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card amongst the stamped "gumdrops."
