Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 1-1/2" x 4-3/4" of closed packed flowers and leaves on light blue background design from Rings Of Love 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the flowers and leaves are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 4-1/2" x 6" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Parakeet Party or Pool Party Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub the inky Blending Brush all over the front of an Embossed Treat Bag. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Make sure you have a piece of Grid Paper under the bag to protect your work surface.
Note: If you are using both colors of ink on your bags, make sure you use a different Blending Brush for each color.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the strip of Rings Of Love Designer Paper to the bottom of the front of the colored Embossed Treat Bag so it is about 1" from the bottom.
Open the Embossing Folder included with the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. Lightly rub the open Soft Suede Ink Pad over the inside of the top flap (the one with the Stampin' Up! logo and line). Don't press too hard.
Insert the large Crumb Cake rectangle into the inked up Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Tip: I just clean the embossing folder when I'm done by running water over it until all the ink is washed off. I then let it air dry.
Pick out the large set of multiple tree rings die from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the dry embossed tree rings Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the tree rings. Run through the machine.
Note: You will use one large tree ring cut out or two smaller ones layered beside each other on the front of each bag. Save any tree ring cut outs you don't use on this project for use on another project.
Adhere one large or two smaller tree ring cut outs to the front of the bag so they are centered over the left side of the designer paper strip.
Pick out the skinny stem with three small leaves that curves to the left die from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the Parakeet Party rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the stem and leaves cut out to the front of the bag so the bottom of the stem is near the lower right side of the tree rings cut out near where it intersects with the designer paper strip.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ringed With Nature Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the set of three small flowers image from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal Crushed Curry strip.
Use the fine tip of the Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Marker to fill in the centers of the three stamped flowers.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the flowers by hand.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the two smaller flower cut outs to the ends of the stems as shown.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the largest flower cut out to the top of the stem as shown.
Mount the "just for you" sentiment from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the Crushed Curry strip.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the sentiment by hand as shown.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out sentiment to the front of the bag as shown so it overlaps the end of the stem and leaves a bit and the lower right side of the tree rings cut out.
Cut a 4" piece of the Natural 1/2" Woven Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the bag at a slight angle near the bottom of the loop at the bottom of the "y" in the sentiment cut out.
Open the bag up and fill with treats.
