T his fun technique was shared on Splitcoast Stampers by Wendy Crawford. I switched mine up and made it a fall theme using the Thoughtful Branches stamp set.
Project Recipe
Start with a piece of 2 1/4" x 5" Watercolor Paper. Use Stampin' Write markers or reinkers and brushes to add stripes of color across the paper going the short direction.
Use a wide brush and clean water and wash across the colors until no lines show. Let dry or use a heat tool.
Use VersaMark ink on the leaf stamp to stamp images randomly across the watercolor paper. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat. Remember to make sure the paper is totally dry before doing the embossing.
Again use the wide brush and clean water to wash the paper. Blot dry with paper towel. The wash will remove more ink everywhere except where the heat emboss seals it.
Tie a piece of thick bakers twine around the watercolor layer.
Adhere a matching 3/4" x 5" piece of DSP on the right edge of the card. The adhere the Resist piece overlapping and to the left.
