Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Pecan Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of white snowflakes on brown background design from Sentimental Christmas 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/2" x 4" of white splatters on blue/green background design from Nests Of Winter 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square of bright copper paper from Textured Metallic 12" x 12" Specialty Paper
Place the piece of white snowflakes on brown Sentimental Christmas Designer Paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Use the Paper Snips Scissors to cut a slit in the center of the horizontal paper.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut at least 5 lines radiating out toward the edges of the designer paper. Do NOT cut too close to the edges though!
Use the Bone Folder and your fingers to roll each section of paper onto itself creating the busted canvas look.
Adhere the piece of white splatters on blue/green Nests Of Winter Designer Paper behind the hole in the busted canvas designer paper piece.
Adhere the layered busted canvas designer paper to the front of the Pecan Pie card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Reindeer Fun Set, place the cardstock or metallic paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the leaping, single deer image from the Reindeer Fun Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Copper Clay Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pecan Pie square.
Mount the harness image from the Reindeer Fun Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Copper Clay Ink Pad. Stamp it on the stamped deer image as shown.
Pick out the matching, single, leaping deer die from the Reindeer Fun Dies. Put it on top of the stamped deer image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Adhere the deer cut out to the front of the card as shown at a slight angle so it is centered inside the hole of the busted canvas. Use double stacked Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere.
Mount the set of three jingle bells image from the Reindeer Fun Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the copper metallic square.
Pick out the matching, set of jingle bells die from the Reindeer Fun Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bells image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off the bow at the top of the stamped and cut out jingle bells image.
Adhere the cut down jingle bells cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is near the bottom right corner of the busted canvas hole.
Cut an 16" long piece of the Copper Clay thread included in the Natural Tones Linen Thread.
Fold the thread in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded thread. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the thread bow to the front of the card as shown at the top of the jingle bells cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 5 clear dots of both sizes from a sheet of Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card over the centers of some of the snowflakes as shown.
