G REAT way to use up scraps of DSP, and make ahead and add the greeting when the need for a card arrives. I know I will be making several of these with the DSP I love, and that is going away when the new Catalog is live 6/1/2018.
Project Recipe
1 - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card stock base, scored & folded
at 4 1/4"
1 - DSP 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" (this is your recessed panel)
2 - pieces of card stock same color as card base
3/4" x 5 1/2"
1 - piece of card stock 2nd color 1" x 5 1/2"'
1 - piece of card stock 2nd color 2" x 5 1/2"
Start with your DSP panel and attach it to card front top to bottom and with the left side 3/4" in from the fold side of card base. Attach with tear 'n tape or snail, just keeping it flat on base.
Next build the two card stock sections. Mount the 3/4" card stock strips on the bottom of the 1" and 2" card stock sections with only 1/4" of the 3/4" card stock showing. When you have the two sections built you will add them to the card front with foam strips or foam dimensionals, 3-D adhesive of your choice. This is how you get the DSP section to look recessed.
Add embellishments and greeting.
One card we used: Very Vanilla oval stitched framelit, and next size larger Cajun Craze scalloped oval framelit and greeting from Birthday Wit set.
Second card we used the Oh So Eclectic stamp and die sets along with the Leaf Punch and the greeting from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.
