Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Magenta Madness Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 5" of multicolored 1/4" stripes design from Sunshine & Rainbows 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical rectangle (or use pieces cut out while making the previous card)
- 1" x 4" of dashed diagonal white lines on green background design from Sunshine & Rainbows 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 3" from So Saffron Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1" square of multicolored 1/4" stripes design from Sunshine & Rainbows 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, try to get pieces with the pink and orange stripes
If you are using the rainbow arches cut out when making the previous card, then skip this step. Otherwise, pick out the large, half rainbow die from the Brilliant Rainbow Dies. Put it on top of the stripes designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Put the large, half rainbow die from the Brilliant Rainbow Dies on top of the vertical white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the bottom of the die is about 1/2" from the bottom of the rectangle and the left edge of the die is about 1/4" from the left edge of the rectangle. Run through the machine.
Note: You are using the large white rectangle with the half rainbow cut out of it on this card. Just throw away the white arch cut outs.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut a fringe along one entire long length of the green Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper strip. Then, use the Snips to cut a wave along the long, fringed edge.
Adhere the fringed strip of green designer paper to the bottom of the striped designer paper rectangle so it covers the bottom of the rainbow cut outs as grass.
Adhere the white rectangle with arches cut out of it and the grass strip adhered to the front of the Magenta Madness card.
Adhere the three smaller striped arch pieces to the front of the card so they fit inside the cut outs on the white rectangle. Be sure to tuck the bottom edges under the grass fringe.
Cut a 5" piece of the Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon around the top of the larger striped arch piece about 1-1/2" from the top left edge. Tie in place using a knot. Trim the ends.
Adhere the large striped arch piece with ribbon tied to it to the front of the card so it fits inside the cut out on the white rectangle. Be sure to tuck the bottom edge under the grass fringe.
Pick out the tag with small rainbow at the top die from the Brilliant Rainbow Dies. Put it on top of the small rectangle of So Saffron on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Rainbow Of Happiness Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "a little something to brighten your day" sentiment from the Rainbow Of Happiness Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Magenta Madness Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the tag cut out in the center.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the back of the rainbow cut out at the top of the tag to adhere the tag to one of the small squares of striped Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper so the horizontal stripes show through the arches.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the other small square of striped Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper to the bottom of the tag so the stripes are horizontal.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess designer paper on the edges of the tag cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the tag to the front of the card at a slight angle so it appears to be hanging from the ribbon knot on the larger arch.
Use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick to pick out three Daffodil Delight stars from the Shaker Shapes. Adhere the shapes to the front of the card in the upper right corner using small dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
