Project Recipe
Measurements of Materials
5 ½” x 8 ½” Daffodil Delight (CS) (Scored at 4 ¼”) – Card Base
5 ¼” x 4” White CS (Cut 2)
3 ¼” x 4” Acetate Sheets
5” x 3 ½” Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper (DSP) – Card Front
4 ½” x 3 ½” DSP – Pull Out Card
2” x 6” DSP (For Envelope)
Cut and Score all pieces.
Cardstock scraps of Soft Succulent and White to make leaves, tag, and tab.
Front of the Card
• Fold and Burnish the card base (5 ½” x 8 ½”)
• Attach one of the pieces of the white CS to the front of the card base.
• Using the 2 3/8” circle hole punch, cut a hole in the piece 5” x 3 ½” DSP. Center it toward the top.
• Place the DSP with the hole over the white cardstock and using a pencil, trace the circle. This will give you the area you will have to decorate.
o Note: you will not center the DSP over the white CS. The DSP will actually be set to the left, ¼” from the edge of the white CS.
• Decorate the white CS inside the circle as desired.
• Erase the pencil marks
• Attach the acetate window sheet to the back side of the front DSP.
Inside of the Card
• Stamp the sentiment and decorations on one of the pieces of white cardstock.
• Adhere to the inside of the card base.
Making and decorating the pull tab
• Overlay the pull tab piece of DSP (4 ½” x 3 ½”) with the front piece of DSP leaving ½” on the edges for the foam tape.
• Trace the circle on the pull tab piece of DSP.
• Stamp the sentiment and background colors onto a white circle made using the same hole punch used before.
• Attach the circle to the pull tab DSP using the traced circle for placement.
• Cut the tag in half and attach to the pull tab on the right-hand side.
Making the mechanism
• Stack the front piece of DSP and pull tab piece so that the circle fits properly into the window.
• Lay the DSP pieces face down.
• Place the foam tape on 3 sides of the back side of the front DSP. Do not add tape to the side of the DSP where the pull tab overlaps.
• Attach the mechanism and front piece of DSP to the card front, ensuring the decorations you made on the white CS show through the window.
Finishing the Card
• Slide the pull tab piece into the slide slot.
• Add any additional decorations, embellishments, etc. you desire.
• This is where you can let your creativity shine!
