Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of white peonies on gray/brown background design from Peony Garden Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 5" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2-3/4" square from Petal Pink Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Peony Garden Designer Paper to the front of the Petal Pink card.
Mount the large, single peony with no leaves image from the Prized Peony Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the vertical white rectangle so some of the image goes off the cardstock in the right corner. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the large, single peony with no leaves image on Block D with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Rotate the stamp so the flower is pointing down. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the vertical white rectangle so some of the image goes off the cardstock in the left corner.
Pick out the long scalloped edge die from the Peony Dies. Put it on top of one side of the long, skinny Petal Pink rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Keep both pieces.
Put the long scalloped edge die from the Peony Dies on top of the other side of the long, skinny Petal Pink rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Keep the scalloped edge piece. You should have two long, skinny, scalloped edge cut outs.
Adhere the long, skinny, scalloped edge cut outs to the back of the stamped white rectangle on the long sides so only a tiny bit of the scalloped edges shows. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the ends.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle with scalloped edge cut outs attached to the center of the front of the card.
Mount the "so sorry...," "your sweet friendship...," or "my thoughts" sentiment from the Prized Peony Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Gray Granite Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Petal Pink square.
Pick out the filigree edge square die from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Cut a 3-3/4" piece of Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on each end.
Lay the ribbon across the back of the center of the sentiment cut out horizontally and secure in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card in the center.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 large pearlescent white and 1 small pearlescent white gem from a sheet of Elegant Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one large gem in the upper right corner of the stamped white layer and the other two in the lower left corner of the stamped white layer.
