Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" of white leaves on green background design from Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Make sure you have Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Insert the strip of white cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the line of daffodils image from the You're Inspiring Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched white strip so the notch of the strip is on the right and the daffodils are as close to the notch as you can get them with the bottoms of the stems going off the bottom of the strip. Set aside to let dry.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side so it is at the top of the Stamparatus.
Place the Pool Party rectangle on the Stamparatus base so it is as far as possible into the upper right corner with a short side running horizontally across the top. WITHOUT adhering, lay the piece of Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper down the left edge.
Pick out the "happy birthday" sentiment from the You're Inspiring Set. Place it upside down on the Pool Party cardstock on the Stamparatus as close to the top edge and the right edge of the designer paper as possible. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Remove the designer paper and Pool Party cardstock from the Stamparatus.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Old Olive Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Put a piece of scratch paper (or a 7-1/4" square of Grid Paper) on the Stamparatus. Close the plate onto the paper and press down firmly. Open the plate. Check to make sure the sentiment stamped right side up and straight. If not, adjust the stamp on the plate and try again. When happy with the positioning of the stamp, proceed to the next step.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have an Old Olive Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
When you are happy with the placement of the sentiment stamp on the Stamparatus plate, put the piece of Pool Party cardstock back on the Stamparatus like before and use one of the magnets to secure it in place.
Re-ink the sentiment stamp with Old Olive Ink. Remember to use a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate to give you a firm, flat surface for inking against and use a Stampin' Spot if you have one. Close the plate onto the cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate. If you are not happy with the coverage you got, you can close the plate again and press firmly again or re-ink the stamp and try again.
Once you are happy with your first stamped image, remove the plate from the hinges and then reinsert it in the hinges one step down. Leave the cardstock in place. Re-ink the stamp on the plate and stamp. Repeat this procedure until you have stamped the sentiment all down the piece of Pool Party cardstock by stepping the plate down one hinge each time. Just remember to re-ink each time!
Reinsert the plate at the top of the hinges on the right side of the Stamparatus.
Slide the Pool Party cardstock down 1/2" inch on the base of the Stamparatus (two lines on the grid) and secure in place with the magnet. Make sure the right edge of the cardstock is still right up against the right side of the Stamparatus.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Old Olive Ink Pad. Close the plate and press firmly. The sentiment should be centered between the first two sentiments you stamped. Repeat until you've stamped the sentiment all down the cardstock remembering to re-ink the stamp each time and move the plate down one hinge step each time.
Adhere the strip of designer paper to the left side of the stamped Pool Party rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock and designer paper so it covers the seam between the two. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere the layers to the front of the Pear Pizzazz card.
Squeeze the lid of the So Saffron Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color in the bells or petals on some of the daffodils or the entire flower on one or two of the daffodils. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Remember to stroke the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Blender Pen until no more color is coming off.
Squeeze the lid of the Powder Pink Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color in the remaining bells or petals of the daffodils. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Remember to stroke the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Blender Pen until no more color is coming off.
Squeeze the lid of the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color in the stems and leaves of the daffodils. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Remember to stroke the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Blender Pen until no more color is coming off.
Cut a 2-1/4" piece of Pool Party 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the left end of the colored daffodils banner. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Leave the protective backings in place.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the banner to the card front about 1" up from the bottom of the Pool Party layer (it should cover three of the stamped sentiments) so the notched edges touch the right side of the Pool Party layer.
Punch out a large leaf sprig from a sheet of Touches of Nature Elements.
Put Mini Glue Dots on the wood color side of the leaf sprig and adhere it to the card front so the white side is showing, the bottom of the sprig is tucked under the left top edge of the daffodils banner, and the sprig curves to the right.
Punch out a jagged flower from a sheet of Touches of Nature Elements.
Put a Mini Glue Dot on the wood color side of the flower and adhere it to the card front so the white side is showing and it is at the top of the ribbon on the left side of the daffodils banner.
Squeeze the lid of the So Saffron Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color the top (white side) of the jagged flower. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Blender Pen until no more color is coming off.
Carefully peel up a small, light Berry Burst circle from a sheet of Glitter Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the jagged flower element.
