Year Of Flowers March Floral Strips |
B right, springy birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 4-1/2" of tiny yellow flowers and green leaves on white background design from Floral Delight 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 4-1/2" of yellow gingham design from Floral Delight 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3/4" x 4-1/2" of yellow gingham design from Floral Delight 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the three strips of Floral Delight Designer Paper on the large, vertical white rectangle to figure out spacing and placement. The large gingham strip should be on the left side, the small gingham strip on the right side, and the remaining strip in the center. When happy with the arrangement, adhere the pieces in place one at a time.
Adhere the matted designer paper strips to the front of the Daffodil Delight card in the center.
Mount the daffodil March image from the Year Of Flowers Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small, vertical Old Olive rectangle. Leave the stamp on the block.
Pick out the label die from the Year Of Flowers Dies. Put it on top of the stamped daffodil image on the Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Adhere the label cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is centered over the space between the left and center designer paper strips about 1-1/4" from the bottom of the card.
Re-ink the daffodil March image on Block C with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small, vertical white rectangle.
Pick out the matching daffodil die from the Year Of Flowers Dies. Put it on top of the stamped daffodil image on the white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Put the stamped daffodil cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface because the Stampin' Blends do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color the flower petals and put a tiny dot in the center of the bell to color the stamens. Leave the rest of the bell white!
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color the leaves and stem.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored daffodil cut out to the front of the card so it is over the daffodil image stamped on the Old Olive label cut out.
Cut a 9" piece of the Daffodil Delight 1/8" Satin Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card at an angle as shown so it overlaps the bottom left side of the label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 large and 3 small Old Olive dots from the sheet of Faux Glass Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
