Waves of the Ocean Mystery Stamping |
|
T hese cards were made as part of a Mystery Stamping event. The host gives the sizes of paper and product that is needed and it's up to the person making the card(s) to create a card using the instructions given. It's lots of fun!
These instructions were provided by my upline at our team meeting Friday. She provided the instructions for the mystery card, and I created the card based on the instructions she gave us.
Dimensions:
5.5 x 8.5 inch card base
4 x 5.25 inch DSP or Embossed Card stock
1 x 5 inch strip CS
1 x 3.75 inch strip CS
1 x 3 inch strip of white or vanilla
greeting stamp to fit 1 x 3-inch piece
Oval or other shape approximately 2 x 3 inches
Image to fit onto oval or other shape
ink pads in your choice of colors
embellishments
I folded the card base and burnished it with a bone folder. As an FYI, using a bone folder makes a difference to how well the card stands up.
I put the 1x5 inch of cs along the fold 1/2" from the edge.
I put the 1x3-3/4 inch of DSP perpendicular to the first.
I stamped the pelican onto basic white cardstock using Memento Black ink, and cut it out with the coordinating die.
The instruction was to cut out a 2x3 inch oval or another shape from coordinating cardstock.
I used the Stitched Nested Die (retired).
I used Stampin dimensionals to adhere the image to the cut-out die.
I adhered the layers to overlap both strips of DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I stamped the greeting onto white card stock and I used the coordinating die to cut it out.
I adhered the greeting to the card front using foam adhesive sheets.
Last, I adhered the gems and pebbles to finish it off.
TA-DA!
