P retty hello card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- scrap of cardstock at least 3-1/4" x 4-1/4"
Adhere the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle to the center of the large Mint Macaron rectangle and then to the front of the Fresh Freesia card.
To help with mounting the open door and frame image from the Warm Welcome Set, first pick out the open, large, open door and frame die from the Warm Welcome Dies. Put it on top of the large scrap of cardstock on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Keep the large scrap of cardstock with an open door shape cut out of the center. Keep the piece cut out of the center to use on another project or recycle it. Leave the die out.
Place the scrap of cardstock with the open door cut out of the center on your work surface. Carefully remove the open door and door frame image from the Warm Welcome Set. Place it stamping side down into the cut out in the center of the scrap so the stamping lines line up inside the cut out, Carefully press Clear Block D down onto the stamp to mount it.
Tip: Keep the scrap of cardstock with the center cut out of it in the case with your stamp set or dies so you can use it again on future projects.
As you are ready to stamp using the Warm Welcome Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Ink up the open door and frame image mounted on Block D using the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" white rectangle.
Place the stamped door and frame image rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your works surface.
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Mint Macaron Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub the inky Blending Brush over the top of the stamped open door and frame rectangle. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: Rub off a bit of ink on your Grid Paper before rubbing on your cardstock. The harder you press the more ink you will put on the cardstock.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Rub a different Blending Brush across the open Fresh Freesia Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub the inky Blending Brush over the bottom of the stamped open door and frame rectangle. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Let the two colors overlap a bit.
Tip: Rub off a bit of ink on your Grid Paper before rubbing on your cardstock. The harder you press the more ink you will put on the cardstock.

Put the open, large, open door and frame die on top of the stamped and blended open door and frame image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Pick out the large, open rectangle die from the Warm Welcome Dies. Put it on top of the opening in the frame portion of the image so it is centered. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. KEEP BOTH THE DOOR AND FRAME AND THE RECTANGLE CUT OUT OF THE CENTER OF THE FRAME.
Use Stampin' Seal and Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the open door and frame cut out to the center of the front of the card. Leave about 1" of the center of the frame around the opening of the door on both sides without any glue so that you can slide the hands cut out behind the edges in a later step.
Mount the set of two hands holding mugs image from the Warm Welcome Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" white rectangle.
Pick out the matching hands holding mugs die from the Warm Welcome Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Tip: I prefer to cut before coloring so that if the die slips I haven't wasted time coloring the image.
Use the Bermuda Bay Watercolor Pencil to color in the stripes on one of the sleeves. You can get different colors by coloring harder or lighter. Color all the way to the end of the sleeve even if there are no stamped lines.
Use the Rich Razzleberry Watercolor Pencil to color in the stripes on the other sleeve. You can get different colors by coloring harder or lighter. Color all the way to the end of the sleeve even if there are no stamped lines.
Use the Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil to color in the hands and the tea bag tag. You can get different colors by coloring harder or lighter.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the colored hands and mugs cut out to the front of the card so it is centered in the open space in the door frame. Tuck the ends of the sleeves under the frames on either side.
Pick out the larger, solid label die from the Warm Welcome Dies. Put it on top of the small Mint Macaron rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Mount the "hello" or "yay!" sentiment from the Warm Welcome Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Mint Macaron label cut out.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is just below the hands holding mugs cut out and overlaps the left side of the open door frame as shown.
Pick out the tiny, open heart die from the Warm Welcome Dies. Put it on top of the blended Fresh Freesia part of the rectangle cut out from the center of the door frame in the earlier step on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Repeat two more times so you have three tiny, blended Fresh Freesia hearts.
Use Mini Glue Dots or Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the tiny heart cut outs in a rough triangle over the hands holding mugs in the open doorway on the front of the card.
Cut a 10" piece of Linen Thread.
Tie a small bow in the center of the thread. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot (squish it down with your fingers) to adhere the thread bow to the front of the card at a slight angle at the lower left side of the sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one large pearl from the sheet of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels making sure you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it over the door knob on the stamped door on the front of the card.
