V aried Vases and Vases Builder Punch.
Sometimes when crafting/creating we try something new or try to ( CASE ) a technique that just doesn't seem to work or it just doesn't make the cut. Today’s project is a prime example of that.
I had seen a great card by Carolyn Bennie on YouTube 'Watercolor wash with All Good Things stamp set' and thought I'd CASE it.
What started out as a watercolor, embossed piece ended up serving very beautifully with the new Vases Builder punch. If you look closely you can see part of the All Good Things Koi fish.
I stamped the fish onto Shimmery White Cardstock in Daffodil Delight, then used Versa Mark to ink my stamp again and put clear embossing powder on top of the stamped image.
My Stamparatus made quick and easy work of that process.
I used Bermuda Bay, Blueberry Bushel and Coastal Cabana inks to watercolor around the fish.
But for me it just didn't work, I didn't like my result at all. I tried different colors, even watercolor paper to no avail.
I almost threw my work away but decided to try out my new Vases Builder punch on those pieces of paper. That's when I saw the beautiful designs on the perfectly cut little vases ... lovely!!
Any glassblower would be proud to display vases this beautiful !!
I cut a circle with the 2-1/4 circle punch and ran it through the Big Shot using the Subtle 3D embossing folder. Made a little shelf using scraps of Bermuda Bay cardstock to display my beautiful vases. I staggered them by putting dimensionals behind them.
